I think I’ll attempt changing my clutch on my own now

Im desperate! How do you remove the clutch cable from the clutch cover as seen at 3:46 ?? I've loosened it by the lever but it won't come off while Im pushing the cover part in.
@KIMBER9768 ай бұрын
Lever side has to be removed first. Loosen and align the cutouts on top , remove the cable from lever and then the bottom should go.

Thank you! I had to remove my clutch lever but it worked. You rock! @@KIMBER976

Hi, i noticed you use the clutch part number SRK 22 and i looked it up and its says the part is meant for ninja 650 and wouldnt fit the vulcan s 650. Just want to make sure if you put the right part # in the video?
@EldeNova4 ай бұрын
Ninja 650 and Vulcan S 650 (and Versys 650) use the same engine, and so all related parts will be shared.

Man I have installed it exactly like this for some reason, the clutch rod going down through the housing does not release the clutch though, Ive soaked everything torqued everything down correct, no clue whatsoever. I am just bewildered at this point. Did you have any issues with the rod through the housing not releasing the clutch, like there is no resistance on it at all hardly, when I reattach it to the clutch line it doesnt return when you let off the lever, bought new clutch lever return spring and everything same result. I have taken it apart and reassembled this thing to the T and cant for the life of me figure it out.

If I remember right the arm has to be pulled back slightly so it could grab the center pin correctly. Something is missing.
@KIMBER9763 жыл бұрын
I’ll look at the diagram and see if I could figure it out. Are you located in Phoenix by chance?

I'm going through that bullshit too. I know to get a honda next time if ima go Japanese. The vulcan is cool but they set it up to sit in the garage

Hey man, I saw your vid. I have also looked at the manual. But do not see the torq specs when tightening the bolts down. Where did you get your info?

For those without this exhaust, be aware of just how f’ing loud it is. His neighbors are likely PISSED! It’s super loud. I won’t even start mine near my place. I coast downhill about a block before firing it up in the morning

TX 10W50. Still does cold but heavier weight for the heat 👍. Good to hear I'm not the only one bumping weight.

How's the new clutch been holding up for you? Did the new springs significantly increase the clutch lever pull force? I think my springs are getting tired, am considering a spring change to aftermarket.
@KIMBER9764 жыл бұрын
Great, clutch pull is slightly harder. If you use stock levers you won’t notice it as much as aftermarket shortys . Also lube your cable every oil change.
