The Helsingør concert was so awesome. Background story: The journey up there involved a 45 minute delay (no) thanks to the Danish rail company .. most of it stuck in the tunnel between Hovedbanegården and Vesterport, headphones out of battery, fair chance i would never make it up there. I did get there towards the end of the opening band, but completely worn out before energy was actually required. Thankfully the venue had this big stairway at the back with plenty of space to sit. Sound got good about a song and a half into the set, view was amazing from where i sat (now i understand a little more about exactly how Björn "treats" his cymbals), very sorry for not being "down there" joining the fun, but i did get the Freak Kitchen Experience for sure. It was a total pleasure to hear a good mix of new and old, plus both an intended and (possibly) unintended jam session. Them tricksters might have done it on purpose, who knows, who cares, it was still something i would have hated myself for missing (and haunted the Danish rail about in my afterlife). Brilliant music and tons of fun - let's do it again some day :) Big thank you to the band plus any helpers they might have had with them! PS: IA, i think the beach you referred to is Bellevue.

PPS: Christer ruled that set, especially with IA taunting him to tune up and down all the time. Great he got the microphone - if he did not hear us singing along from the stairway, we do better next time - promise!

I like the last two albums, but please bring 6 string guitars and weird tunings back. I think those unique tunings and things you came up with them were some of the most unique things about the band. I think the new era crazy low end songs like Troll, The Era of Anxiety, Everyone Gets Bloody, Gravity Works etc are some of your best songs but nevertheless I really miss the 6 string stuff.

Finally had time to sit down and listen to these - Last Man On Earth, right? If i had anything to add to this, then please Guzfather, do an 80s style "extended remix" version of any FK song you pick. Like, that version where some bassline is noodling around and you dub the rest in and out at your discretion. And of course, running between 6 and 8 minutes, because nobody are allowed to leave the dancefloor until them Freaks stop playing! I mean, if you are bored enough, and the guys would not mind, then .. :) (Sidenote: Whatever spellchecking thingie i have running tells me "dancefloor" is two words - i give up!)

My instinct is to hate this, not a sound I dig. But I’ll come back to it in a few years.
