I play Flying V’s, so the graphics alone are worth the price of admission. In addition, I regret selling the modded JCM800 Marshalls I had, and it might make me feel better replacing them with a pedal like this! Cheers~

I was really hoping that fluence modern would have been installed in the second guitar. I really would like to hear the difference between them.
@MetalHeadProductions
@MetalHeadProductions 2 күн бұрын
There is a modern in the second guitar, but I was just showing the single coil sound, not doing a comparison video, but I might in future. Although I did demo that ltd recently when it had moderns in it on the ENGL with all the same settings and did an out of mix so you can hear the difference there on the same guitar.

@@MetalHeadProductions Thanks, i compared the two videos. The modern sounds thinner than the MT signatures. I currently installed the mick thomsons in my guitar, but they seem to miss something i can not tell. Maybe mids?
@MetalHeadProductions
@MetalHeadProductions Күн бұрын
@@jeanst5465 they have less overall midrange compared to the moderns, which some people feel is too much and nasal, but the Mick's have the mids which you need them for cut.

I had the white moderns a couple years back. Put them in a Jackson x series sounded too harsh and thinned out on the active and too dark and flat on the passive. Put them into schecter Damien 6 same issue. Ended up selling the guitar. But recently decided to try them again on a Jackson pro plus dk ht6 multiscale 25.5-26.5 they’re the 7 string version because of the fan fret. And they sound amazing. Just like I wanted them to sound before

Welp, after waiting over 2 weeks, Airis sent me a defective pedal. It one of the terminals that holds a chip is empty. There's basically no output. I emailed them, but it's kind of lousy that if they fix it I'll have to ship it back which will take 2 weeks, they'll take a week to fix it, and I'll have to wait 2 more weeks to get the thing back. This is an extremely disappointing experience and it's put me off from buying from them in the future. Hopefully they email me back soon with a solution and I can report back with some sort of redeeming news.

Steven, you've demoed so many pickups. Do you have a (or some) clear favorites? How do these fair against all that you've tried? I want to try more stuff, but there are so many companies making pickups. The differences can be hard to discern in a (KZbin) recording, but in the right guitar they can make ALL the difference in terms of feel, IMO. Thank you! :)

Absolutely, and this going to come down to personal tastes and gear so it took me a while and lot of trial and error to figure this out, but one of the pickups I've been using the longest is the black winter, this monotone pickup like going to live permanently in my FGN, the warpig from bkp is another fantastic high output pickup and I have one permanently in my LP, the m7 from Lundgren is easily my favorite 7 string pickup and for actives, Fishmans are so good, I'm really digging the Mick Thompson set and the standard moderns are everything I think someone would want from an active.

Joe from void manufacturing, formerly lone wolf audio is a toxic person in the guitar and pedal community who talks trash about other builders. He constantly says everyone else rips off designs and that he makes original stuff, mean while his most known pedal, the left hand wrath is a poorly made rip off of the dunwich modded hm2. Hm2 cult traces the circuit and found it to be a poorly laid out copy of the modded hm2 from dunwich, so they made a much better laid out version and make it for a reasonable price, instead of the crazy prices Joe chargers. It's also wired much better as Joe's pedals are wired terribly and has for years had boards floating on foam. I also have history with joe unfortunately, so I am happy to promote a better made product at a better price that is honest about what it is.
