Attenborough always gets away with it - remember when he put all them Iguanas on Snake island - think that got him an award actually - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGSym5mBZdlkjq8 Did the camera team intervene when an Iguana got swallowed alive, did they buggery - they just threw in more Iguanas until they filmed one that was clever enough to escape & gave it a happy ending. Maybe I'll revoice that footage someday :)

It would be interesting to remove the negative conductor and instead connect the negative to an earth rod. The slugs would probably still get shocked because of the voltage difference between the rock/stone and the positive wire.

There's a new version of this coming out in a few months using 4 concentric of differing voltages. I'm currently playing around with another spark generator as a final hurdle if they get clever :)

Rip samson. He was a brave slug. Tricked and closed almost every single flytrap, was king of the world. But doing too much of a risk came with a cost, and that cost... Was his life. RIP samson

My great, great, great grandmother Mary Groucutt (formally Gittens) saw her brother murdered that day, I believe her son was transported to Australia because of that day, and my great, great grandfather William had to flee Dawely via the canal, so much loss, just because they were made to starve and the greed of the coal Masters, but they were never able to drive us to our knees. my mom and dad went through the london air rades at age 12. i can still hear them singing all these songs to this day. i even know the songs. God Bless You D Day Darlings for bringing these songs back to life
