Started watching this last week. The first few minutes of the first episode is enough for anybody to switch it off but i gave it a chance and this scene changed it for me. Im now hooked to the show! Love good ol 90s.

If I could go back to the 90s I would go in a heartbeat. Times were so much better then they are today. This show is amazing.

the interesting thing with this show was the Greeks never had to go to Normal school as well as Greek School.I was watching an old Degrassi(one of the forerunner shows which led to your Beverley Hills 90210's and Heartbreak High offerings)where there was a character Dianna that had to do that.Con,Nick and Katerina were spared.

Nope.That show was way ahead of it's time.Do you know they were dealing with Epilepsy years before the people behind Neighbours and Home and Away even thought of it to use an example,eating disorders were well ahead of the Australian soaps as were a lot of other topics.

Ok i just found out this tv show on Netflix, i like teen shows and i jumped in immediately, i thought it was going to be on the style of BH90210 and Dawson's Creek... But I guess not, it was really hard to empathize with any character, so far i only like the teacher Christina... Does it get better?

That was the brilliance of the show. The show focused on the rough and ready teenagers from rough and ready towns. This was a gritty , grungy , realistic look at rough schools and its peoples. The show was groundbreaking in that it tackled issues head on like Racism, Homophonia, bullying, broken homes , the school system and people from different ethnic backgrounds in the same boiling pointed classroom. This was absolutly Not 90210, or Dawsons Creek. It wasnt meant to be. It wasnt a nice, flashy, glossy bubblegum teen soap opera, and all the better for it. 👍👍 The teen cast are initially stand offish, and thats how people are at times. It wasnt all smiles and sunshine with happy endings, but you really got a sense of reality and connection with the characters as the season progresses. The "Rivers" character is brilliantly done from a racist bully to a redeeming friend over time, withouth being overly done or false. Defo give it a full chance if you havent- its easily the best show of its kind. By the way- the show had a series of cast changes , and from season 5 it is a totally new cast, and tone. Season 5 onwards is a more toned down, lighter affair with more Dawsons Creek style teen storylines. Some prefer this era of the show big time, but the earlier years were where its at.👍👍 Happy Watching.👍🙂

It was basically an Australian Ready or Not,Sweet Valley High and Clueless but differed from a lot of those.Basically BH 90210 without the backing of Tori Spelling's now deceased father could sum it up.

I just saw a brief clip on Netflix preview page ... the teacher confronted them on acting like animals. My first thought was... well yeah, these dudes are like 25 and still in high school.

Season 1 was so good. Gets progressively worse after season 3.

It was about two years later the ABC got the rights to this but to prepare them they showed Degrassi again briefly and a handful of Ready or Not episodes around 1995-1996 so the change would not be too dramatic.

So annoying I really wish the rest of the series were released. I can't stand it when they stop just when you're enjoying watching a series. Please start to release the rest of the series, I'm sure it would make so many people happy!

So did I - apparently the only thing that has stopped them from releasing more DVD's is that they have come up against music licensing issues. And because the later seasons features more music they have to work through the legal process. They said that they hope to carry on at some point in the future.

@XxRelmxX I get ya. Its back in stock now along with Season 2 - apparently it sold really well! :) If we keep buying, they will release the entire show on DVD!

@XxRelmxX because I want to have the french dub. I always watch it this way. And vene if I have saw some episode in original audio I still want to have a french dub in my dvd. I hope it will happen. The problem is that if I know it will never happen I will choose to buy the original australian dvd but it seems it's already hard to find the 1st one (out of stock) so I can't imagine how difficult it could be after a while.

@XxRelmxX I can't imagine it being separately released in France, though maybe the Australian distributors (Umbrella) will export to French stores since the DVD's are region free, meaning they can be played all over the world. Why not just buy off E-bay?

Can't wait to have it released as well in France, loved the show so much and watching it again after years but I really need real DVD videos. If the DVD set won't make it to France I will order the australian one. :)
