Imagine how interesting and beautiful it would be to sit down with her and just talk for hours on end about her experiences in life and how life was back then and everything she has seen and done and all her memories. I honestly wish I was born earlier in time around the late 1950s - early 1970s. I have heard how much more fun life was then and how everything was built better and how the food tasted so much better and the cars the produced were beautiful and how much more of a joyful life it was.

We built the country up now they want us gone. I get it! The governments are to blame for allowing properties to be purchased by outsiders. A lot of Brits are like ‘feral animals’ abroad. I am an American of Catalan descent, but many generations removed. My abuelito, Carlos Castells, came here from Ecuador as a teenager, and I'm pretty cut off from my heritage. Like many Americans whose families came from other countries, I resorted to googling my last name to find out more about who I am and where I came from. I was so pleased when, years ago, I learned that I share my name with this beautiful and inspiring tradition. I proposed to my cousins that we adopt "Strength, balance, courage, sense" as our new family motto, and they agreed. I believe in the motto and try to live by it, and one day I hope to participate in a real Castell (probably in the pina - I'm a stocky guy).

Very sad indeed. It's just as disturbing how many "grown-ups" who are clueless about the historical, religious, and political context of the conflict and who swallow up the sludge fed to them by mainstream media have been brainwashed into supporting Islamist terrorists at severe cost to Israel AND to the Palestinians. I hope most of Spain has their wits about them, but much of the country seems quite inclined to support Hamas given its left-wing stance, no?
