_At the present time we're collapsing 167 phone systems into one phone system._ Now out of curiosity, if that's the case for Novant Health's system, are all of the locations (hospitals, clinics, etc.) under their own customer groups in the system? That is to say that each location has their own dial plan and each hospital has their own switchboard. Or is the entire system centralized so that there's a single dial plan in place and that there's a centralized switchboard for the entire Novant Health system?

For microsoft teams direct routing inbound calls, I am getting multiple 180 ringings from Microsoft teams side( that too with different tags) despite user is logged in at single device(no forking) ..Is there a way to restrict multiple 180 ringings to just one ?? i am expecting 180 ringing only once from microsoft teams side which is not happening.

a good brief video for DWDM systems. A few points on protection : - MOTR (transponder) module can itself provide protection using integrated OPS. (at the expense of having another line port redundant) - Trunk OPS can be deployed in photonics where the OPS card makes switching decisions solely on the Rx power. - Client OPS can used in MUX , where an external OPS card can provide redundancy between clients(100GE or OTU4) either in same transponder shelf or different transponder shelf. - We can have mesh protection in photonics layer, of course software defined routing is there using photonics control plane. intended protection routes or a combination of routes between originating and terminating sites can also be decided beforehand. - The L0CP mesh restoration is rather slow ( since it finds & creates new path depending upon N number of factors , like spectrum availability in possible paths, any potential alarms in those paths as well ) - OTN switching to have <50ms switching time is a Industry standard. - Mesh restoration takes time like 50s to 1 min to recreate new path, But - WSS takes even more time to optimize the SNC powers to avoid non-linearity. In Design consideration , just a few key things to add : - We might need a Regen bank in the photonics ( FOIC1.4 or 4.8 or simple OTL4.4 client regen - this is made using transponders only ) - Redundancy or protection is a key point. - Capacity changes also include the upshifting or downshifting of the modulation/ rate along with adding new sites. - Mechanisms like wavelength contention detection and making sure photonics dont receive any non-linearity because of that is important ( of course SW controlled )
