I remember an old Captain Joe's commercial that I haven't seen online yet, but it was of a couple dining at Captain Joes, and then the man walks away for a bit and looks behind a door. Then it cuts to a a scene of a crew on a fishing boat singing "Yo Ho Blow the Man Down". Any clues as to its whereabouts?

That was me. I wrote and produced that spot ages ago, and they ran it for years. I thought I had I posted here on KZbin, but I don't see it. I might have a copy of it somewhere. If I come across it, I'll post it.

What a HUGE part of my childhood! My cousin and I made sure to spend the night with each other on the weekends so we could always watch this together!! Oh the memories! And wow was Doug Weathers young! I love it!

Man, you are still a cool dude. I remember as a kid sitting up to watch The All Knight Mare Movie on WTOC. You were awesome, plus you did some commercials if I remember. I know one was for Captain John's Seafood. We watched you with the old airway antennas from Patterson, GA.

What I remember was seeing a bat fly out of the TV and into the (dark) bedroom behind me. I was suspicious about that bedroom for years after.

Hi Jack. I remember watching your show when I was a kid and I wanted to say thank you for the memories. I never forgot how excited I was to watch these horror classics each week. Thank you for some truly wonderful memories. I hope you are doing well!

Thanks for the kind words, Cliff. I still love those old Universal monsters. If you like playing board games, check out "Horrified." It came out just a year or so ago. It's based on those films, and great fun. You can find it anywhere...even Walmart carries it.

I am remembering that little boy you would knock off the barstool. He would land off camera and laugh. Wouldn't fly today. And the Pancho Taco commercials. No longer in business. I miss them.

Timothy, it's been a while since I played this, and I don't remember where I found it. I may have actually monkeyed with it a bit. Just now I searched online and found a couple of ukulele versions in Eb that look like the chord pattern I remember. I transposed down to D. If you find one that starts Eb, EbMaj7, Eb6, Eb...that's the version I'm using. Hope that helps.

Unless they had a newscast to follow at 5:30, It wasn't unusual to have the Hollywood Squares at 5pm, They probably used it as a good, strong lead in to their early evening newscast which followed. WBBM in Chicago did the same thing except have it on an hour earlier at 4 o'clock.

Thanks. Mine doesn't hold a candle to your version! Voice, guitar, choreography...and a great finish! I notice you're also a Nilsson fan. He was truly a beautiful talent. He'd make an interesting subject for a bio-pic.
