Stupid question, but what when you are making small projects? I'm felting small keychains for my friends and with small elements, I tend to hit my gingers a lot because I just hold these small pieces between my thumb and index finger. I guess my aim is hell and my hands shake often. I can't help it much.

I tried with one bar of soap, and my hands were peeling and dry for days! It was awful. How do you get this to not happen to your hands? I can’t imagine doing more, but I was trying to do it for Christmas gifts.

@@leahsmith5284 If you are felting for gifts I recommend using gloves to keep everything sanitary. I am so sorry to hear this happened to you. Sounds like an allergic reaction to something. Maybe the dye on the wool or lanolin maybe, or maybe even the soap. I hope it has cleared up. What a bummer. I know someone with an egg allergy and that does that to their hands. I teach art for challenged kids and have never felted myself. Wondered if this would be a feasible project for hands that might struggle with fine motor skills. Does the needle have to be one specialized for felting? Or can a stick pin work?

@@karenburns4106 Thank you for asking. The needle is specific. It has barbed ends to catch the wool fibers and condense them. It depends on the level of challenged. Some may be better suited than others. The needles are very dangerous. Wet Felting, like Geodes or Soap would be a safer route. Again depends on the person. I hope this helps. Happy Felting🌬️❄️🌲🤍
