We accidently dropped our mariner (yamaha) 15hp 2 stroke in the canal in february. Since it was winter, so high water levels, very cold and fast flowing stopped us from getting it back out. In May, when the weather got better and the tides were lower, we dived down, put a rope arround and got it out. We took it straight home. Got a pressurewasher and cleand away all the dirt carefully. Took the carb of, plugs out. Pulled the cord so that the water shoots out. Then shoot some oil in the crankcase and cylinders. Reassemble everything. Put fuel in it, gave it some break cleaner and she started right up. After 2 min she ran like nothing happend. Those old 2 strokes are rock solid machines. Buy a yamaha.

Wow thank you! My poor drowned outboard-torrential rain followed by bilge pump failure, at least she sank in her slip, but it's salt water :(

This happened to my 2004 Corolla once, was parked in an underground parking garage, a hurricane happened and the garage was flooded to 2 feet deep.A week later the water receded and I let everything dry first, then changed the oil and spark plugs and it started right up, drove it for 7 more years until it got rear ended

This is geometrically impossible. The first illustration is correct. Since the casted line has a constant length, when the current pushes a belly in it the radial length is decreased (i.e. the total length is conserved). However, in the second illustration, he mends and introduces a belly in the opposite direction of the current, but the radial line length stays the same. How is that possible? In both cases the fish in the graphics should not see the fly. Mending is not an attempt to conserve the reach of a cast. It is an attempt to reduce the drag on the fly so that it can reach and stay at the intended depth (hopefully in front of the fish) at all times.

If I dropped JAP CRAP in the drink ,I would think it's where it belongs, YAMAHA is trash . Not worth fixing. Go buy a real outboard

Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats kzbin.infoUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. kzbin.infoUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!

Watches this video after my motor popped off the transom and fell in the bay and I pulled it out by the electrical cables. I followed the steps and the engine actually started. I couldn’t believe it.

Just load it up with Kerosene through the spark plug holes. Those cylinders would not havr bren completely covered in oil at all. Only one side because you never turned the motor around. Just had it laying on one side. Kero has oil in it even diesel will do and much tbinner then oil alone so gets past the rings faster and into the crank case. A good motor should have a sump plug with easy access to drain anything out.

Owner mosquito #4 circles are excellent for that. Idk If mustad makes a circle that small but if they do you'll want about a size 4. NOT a 4/0 but a regular #4

Has your alternator survived? I am thinking of doing a similar installation however not sure the alternator will last the long haul. I have F150 Yamaha that is capable of putting out 35A and was looking at fitting a 20A Dc Dc charger but not sure if i am pushing it too much.

Hello ! Was out on the water for an hr no issues with this engine. I stopped it for 25 mins and went to start again and it wouldn't. It's my first outboard and didn't know you have to put the throttle on a certain a position and then pull the rope, I have been pulling the rope without throttle on set position and It has always taken me 7 pulls or more to start it so I think I flooded the motor. How do I de flood? is there such a thing? I tried putting throttle all the way open and choke closed to possibly deflood and cranked it ten to fifteen times and then tried with throttle on the start position to crank but have had no luck starting, tried also with choke on for a few strokes with no luck either. Could I have fouled up the spark plug?
