Everything is great, but I have a couple of suggestions. The brightness in the video might be a bit too high, and on the Splunk page, it's difficult to see the query clearly If possible, could you write the query in notes? This would make it much easier for us to review. Keep up the great work, brother! 💪
@HopliteSecurityАй бұрын
Hey thanks for the feedback Pal, and I will take your suggestions and incorporate them in future videos for the purposes of continuous improvement. Also, if you head over to my blog which is linked in the description, you can copy my exact queries. I also apologize that the queries were hard to see, I will remedy that moving forwards and greatly appreciate your willingness to provide this constructive feedback.

Ahh great question. You can see the encrypted application data was sent with a destination port of 13337 :)

Thank you for this! I think if you just to an export of files, you'll get the key in a .php format as well. From there, you can just upload it as a .pem and the next export should have the data (flag in our case) available to export as well. But your way is good as well!

I had a fun time with this box! Definitely need to think a bit outside of the host. It should also be pointed out the ratio of user flags vs root flag is about half (root flags are half of that of user flags as of writing this) and as you can only rate the machine after you submit a user or root flag kinda skews what the actual difficulty of it. It is definitely a medium level box.
@HopliteSecurity7 ай бұрын
Hey Fobzy, Thanks so much for sharing this information, as you bring up a really good point about the root flags to user flags ratio. Glad you enjoyed the box as well :)

@hoplite Security.. I'm enjoying your content. You were soooo close.. the correct answer is in fact Battista, for this challenge I used cryptii.com which i find useful. its using standard Vigenere cipher. C+P the text over and adding the key with key mode repeat got you the answer. I only could solve parts 1 and 2
@HopliteSecurity2 жыл бұрын
Thank you kindly, that is fantastic to know!
@dementedcereal2 жыл бұрын
hey guys.. completed this challenge. @matt.T is correct it is in reverse. The 1st flag gives you a big hint being Tagalog which is an Austronesian language spoken in Luzon and neighbouring islands and forming the basis of the standardized national language of the Philippines (Filipino). I luckily knew someone in the Sec field who speaks fluent tagalog and had him translate the words to "The flag is 649444". I do have a write up on the challenge but i am not posting it here (dont want to steal the attention from a good video)
