Hi travelled over most of NZ in 2000 steam special in North island simply supurb. One point though these new locos look similar to the British class 58 (an export model) which most countries refused to purchase because they said that the side walkways were against Union rules. Meaning that the fitters when repairing them in sidings would have to work outside. Seems strange that this isn’t a problem today? Oh the class 58 was a very reliable loco so failures weren’t an issue!

Have the DXR's all been renumbered or scrapped? I think the DXR's were numbered in the 8000's.

I was hoping that KR may have gone back to EMD or GE in the US for their new locos. Maybe Stadler made them and offer they couldn't refuse.
@bwk4528Ай бұрын
Obviously your knowledge is well out of date as EMD and GE no longer exist.

@@bwk4528 While that's true the brands still exist.

Actually the one good thing about the DL’s is that they weren’t expensive hahahaha.

Another one who probably uses an iPhone and believes it’s made in the USA. And has electronics in his house and think they are all made in NZ. China this China that…without Chinese products you will be paying a lot more for your electronics and clothes.
