When we heard this the last time....we thought that's it...that's the very end of these amazing Chronicles..... ....little did we know back then...so...very...litte.... ...but after today...we know it for certain: ...THE CHRONICLES WILL CONTINUE!!!!!

The reason this song is called "Tekom" is because this is what the Zelda echo is called in the game's files. The shadow monsters that come from rifts are called Tecuums in those same files.

I have a theory, having played Breath of the Wild and this game (but yet to play TotK): Calamity Ganon - as he is in BotW - is a mix of Null and Ganon. Null wasn't completely destroyed at the end of Echoes - he is LITERALLY the living embodiment of the void itself, after all. Soon after his defeat by the hero and priestess, Null went after Ganon and took him over, thus forming the eldritch abomination that becomes Calamity Ganon. Here's why I think this is so: -Null, even wielding the Triforce of Power, could be harmed by mortal weapons, and even normal objects (like tables) - even though the Sword/Bow/Bombs of Might were particularly effective. Calamity Ganon can also be harmed by such things, meaning that the Master Sword is actually optional to beating him. -Calamity Ganon seems more like a force of nature than just an evil entity, which fits Null to a T. -The power of Calamity Ganon to resurrect all slain monsters during the Blood Moon could be Null channeling a remnant of the power he stole from the Tris - and that of the Triforce of Power - to create echoes of the slain monsters. However, he couldn't make the stronger shadow monsters due to being beaten down by Link and Zelda then shattered to near-non-existence by their wish on the completed Triforce. But after Calamity Ganon's first form is destroyed and Dark Beast Ganon emerges from the remains, Null's presence is gone, thus leaving just the demon king's raging malice, which could ONLY be defeated by the Bow of Light. That's why we only get Demon King Ganondorf in TotK.

Heartfelt ending, my heart goes to those little Tri’s suffering in the background because of such a horrendous monster hungry of power. The echoes of voices in this final boss theme are beautiful btw. I almost liked it as much as TOTK. Both are beautiful in their own way though.

We'll get a new fight with a humanoid Ganon, actual humanoid Ganon, again one day. Like, the Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time Ganon fights are legendary, and I want to see a take on the concept in 3D with modern ideas and aspects of previous fights, but since Twilight Princess we've only gotten the bestial Ganon.
