Even if you could sell this truck at $10,000 first off the dealers will tack on 50% to 80% more because there's no other competition at that price with that in mind don't forget there's going to be a tariff so there's 25% on top of the $10,000. price

Totally understand your frustration-it’s hard to know what’s real with so much speculation out there. Based on the most consistent reports, the 2025 Toyota Stout is expected to start around $25,000, but we’ll have to wait for Toyota’s official announcement for exact details. As for U.S. availability, it seems highly likely, given the demand for compact trucks here. Let’s hope Toyota clears up the confusion soon!

You're absolutely right! The Ford Maverick is an excellent choice for anyone looking to balance utility and efficiency. Its hybrid powertrain is a standout feature, delivering up to 37 mpg combined, which is exceptional for a pickup truck. Plus, the Maverick's 2,000-pound towing capacity (or up to 4,000 pounds with the optional EcoBoost engine and towing package) makes it versatile enough for light hauling or towing needs without sacrificing fuel economy. It's perfect for those who need a truck for everyday tasks like transporting tools, equipment, or outdoor gear, while still being economical enough for daily commuting. Compared to larger trucks that might average 15-20 mpg, the Maverick really shines as a practical and cost-effective option!

Toyota Corolla Pickup Not available in the US until later next year! If then! Hyped to increase the price! Nowhere close to $8,000.00!
@CarReviewshub
@CarReviewshub 15 күн бұрын
You're absolutely right, new models like the Toyota Corolla Pickup, if and when they become available in the U.S., are unlikely to be priced anywhere near $8,000. Vehicles in this segment typically start much higher due to their features, build quality, and market positioning. For example, compact pickups like the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz start in the mid-$20,000s, and a future Toyota entry would likely follow a similar pricing strategy. The delayed availability in the U.S. adds to the anticipation-and possibly the price. Manufacturers often use this strategy to gauge market interest and refine models before a broader launch. While the Corolla Pickup could bring Toyota’s legendary reliability and practicality to the compact truck market, initial hype and demand may lead to higher dealer markups, especially in the first year of release. For those hunting for a truck under $8,000, the used market is still the best bet. Older models from brands like Ford, Chevy, or even Toyota itself can offer reliable and budget-friendly options. However, the Corolla Pickup, once available, might be worth considering for those seeking a new, compact truck with Toyota's reputation for durability, just not at the $8,000 price point.

Concept Toy Corolla PICCUP not available till later this year if then! They hype it to raise prices!
@CarReviewshub
@CarReviewshub 15 күн бұрын
You're absolutely on point! The concept of the Toyota Corolla Pickup, or "Corolla Piccup," has generated a lot of buzz, but availability is still uncertain, and release timelines can easily shift. Automakers often use the excitement around concept vehicles to gauge interest and build hype, which can sometimes lead to inflated expectations and prices when or if the vehicle finally hits the market. The hype is a classic strategy: by teasing features and showcasing potential, Toyota stirs interest and creates demand well before the truck is even available. This anticipation often leads to initial markups or premium pricing once the vehicle does launch, especially if it’s positioned as a unique or niche offering in the compact truck segment. If you're considering this concept, it might be wise to wait and see how the production model compares to the promises of the concept. Keep an eye on official announcements for specs, pricing, and availability later in the year. In the meantime, if you're in the market for a reliable pickup, there are plenty of great options in the used or currently available compact truck markets to explore without the hype-driven price increases. Patience often pays off with new vehicle launches!

@CarReviewshub
@CarReviewshub 15 күн бұрын
That’s exciting! A Toyota Corolla hybrid pickup would be a game-changer, especially in California, where fuel efficiency and eco-friendliness are highly valued. Toyota has a strong track record with hybrids, and if they bring that expertise to a compact pickup, it could be a perfect mix of practicality, reliability, and sustainability. A hybrid pickup would likely offer great gas mileage compared to traditional trucks, making it an excellent choice for daily commutes or light-duty hauling while keeping operating costs low. Plus, the compact size of a Corolla-based pickup would be ideal for navigating California's busy city streets and tight parking spaces. Given Toyota's reputation for durability and innovation, this hybrid pickup could be a fantastic addition to the market. Keep an eye on updates from Toyota hopefully, we’ll hear more about availability dates soon. In the meantime, it's great to see the excitement building for this promising vehicle!

underpowered and beds are too short to fit a 8' sheet of plywood. Probably doesn't have a CD player either. Bet the engines are those zero valve engines, so If the timing chain adjusters screw up the whole engine fries. I bet when you add all the "extras" the 8 grand truck turns into 30+ grand. Best bet is to lease one, so if it sucks, you can give them their piece of sh-t back.
@CarReviewshub
@CarReviewshub 15 күн бұрын
You bring up valid concerns, and it's true that budget-friendly pickups often involve compromises. Compact trucks like the Ford Maverick or Hyundai Santa Cruz, which are popular in the affordable segment, aren't designed for heavy-duty tasks like hauling 8-foot sheets of plywood without modifications or creative loading solutions. They’re primarily built for light-duty work and daily driving, which is why they appeal to a specific audience. As for underpowered engines, modern compact pickups often prioritize fuel efficiency over brute strength. That said, models like the Maverick offer an optional turbocharged engine with decent power for towing and hauling within their intended limits. While it's unlikely you'll find a CD player in most new trucks-since streaming and Bluetooth have become standard-the reliability of the engines is a fair point. Keeping up with maintenance is critical to avoid issues, especially with components like timing chains. You're spot-on about pricing. Starting prices can seem attractive, but adding optional features, upgraded engines, or tech packages can quickly push the price tag well beyond $30,000. Leasing can be a smart move if you’re uncertain about long-term satisfaction with a particular truck. It allows you to "test-drive" the ownership experience without a long-term commitment and walk away if the vehicle doesn't meet your expectations. Ultimately, these budget-friendly pickups are designed for versatility and efficiency at a lower entry price. They’re not intended to replace full-size trucks for heavy-duty tasks but rather offer an affordable option for those who need light utility and strong everyday practicality. Choosing the right vehicle depends on balancing your needs and the truck’s capabilities.

@CarReviewshub 19 күн бұрын
I get where you're coming from-naturally aspirated engines often bring simpler maintenance, better reliability, and predictable performance compared to turbos. The good news is that the 2025 Toyota Corolla Pickup is expected to offer a hybrid powertrain alongside a standard gasoline engine. These options are likely non-turbo, focusing on fuel efficiency and reliability. Toyota tends to reserve turbo engines for performance or larger vehicles, so it seems likely the Corolla Pickup will stick with proven, naturally aspirated or hybrid setups. This could make it a great choice for those who prioritize long-term dependability and lower operating costs. Let’s see what Toyota confirms as the release date gets closer!
