I gotta admit I appreciate your attitude towards driving a lot. You definitely have respect for your car and willingness to learn. I really respect it. I would genuinely suggest finding a larger open space or a small track, so you can get some more entry speed and have runoff room. I wish you luck and safe drifting 🙇♂️

biggest thing u need to work on is powering out of the slide and ur golden to go to the track and learn more tbh
@Damian_Olmo4 ай бұрын
Yeah im definatly going to focus on that alot more in the coming weeks hopefully when i get my new steering wheel ill start working to get transitions down With the lack of self steer and the massive steering wheel i have to focus more on steering then throttle control lol
@terra60844 ай бұрын
stop letting completely off throttle while sideways, always keep some wheel spin so u dont straighten up and go off the road on accident. when ur getting out of the drift smoothly keep throttle until car catches up with ur wheel speed comes back straight smoothly. goodluck with learning u already have the basics down

@snoopyboobs4 ай бұрын
@@Damian_Olmo I hear you on the time and money thing. Funny you mention rally. I used to rally in the early 2000’s in the Pacific Northwest, Arizona and Southern California. The fire and logging roads in Washington and Oregon are amazing!!

Thats actually really cool, ive rallied out here in the PNW (not competitively) and it was amazing i had a subie i would thrash sadly i had to let go i was going to rally the mustang but im going with drifting for now and seeing where i go from there
@snoopyboobs4 ай бұрын
@@Damian_Olmo the scca rally scene had a little boost in popularity when Subaru first imported the wrx in 2001 as a 2002 model. Unfortunately there was a fatal crash at the Oregon trail pro rally (which I was racing at) in 2003. This almost killed pro rally but it has hung on just barely in this country since.

My advice would be to start with a less powerful car, start drifting opportunistically. Handbrake turns, weight shifting and or clutch kicking helps your mind to get used to the dynamics of drifting to better control a powerful car (in my experience) 200 to 250hp is a good start, fast but not fast enough to hurt yourself badly. If you are fighting the steering wheel, you are not in control of your car and drifting is about control.
@Damian_Olmo5 ай бұрын
I gotta throw hand with ford steering they lack self steer input i do wish i had a less powered more ballanced car but i enjoy starting with a harder car makes it more interesting while i practice ill just stay away from places where i cant recover
@Henry.255 ай бұрын
@@Damian_Olmo Yeah. Stay away from places with walls, believe me, it hurts you and your wallet.😅😅 If I remember correctly, your car model already has electric steering, right? It's a little complicated, but adding an aftermarket module can help with the driving experience, but to be honest, just adding an angle kit and negative camber should be enough for now.
@Damian_Olmo5 ай бұрын
@@Henry.25 yeah its got electronic steering Im running camber and once ive gotten the hang of drifting and actually progress my skill ill start adding more angle aswell as hydrolic steering

that's the schizophrenic mustang, he thinks there is a crowd so it loses traction instantly at any given moment
