Nice lift. Better than other stannahs out there. This lift may have been modded in the 2000s? as it has the logo that was used until 2010.

Wow! Where are these located? Bennie was eventually purchased by Kone so the interior of the right lift might be the original one. These lifts are definitely from the late 1980's and have their original dot matrix displays. It seems that although Bennie was acquired by Kone in the 1980's, the brand was still used up until the late 1980's.

It's a difficult one to judge, as the car park was built in the 1970's and they seem original

both of the two on the left still had original buttons, no idea on the one closest to the call button on the right as i never saw that one working even as far back as 2018. sad to hear they've just abandoned them, it was already hinted at that happening by letting one sit indefinitely out from whenever that went. You'd think by now they'd have been required to get lift access going again somehow for accessibility purposes so idk how they're getting away without that, but when it does happen it can only be a full replacement at this point which is sad but i guess expected given the neglect shown by the car park owners
@VintageLiftLad
@VintageLiftLad Жыл бұрын
Aye that's right, I believe I only rode the second from left car once. And l never saw car no. 2 working even as far back as 2017. I think they're getting away with it due to there being an accessible entrance on the 5th floor I believe, still a trek up the stairs since the lower floors are always full. It is a massive shame cos they really are proper classic lifts. In fairness they did get constant use and battered, don't think I've ever seen them idle when they were working. Aye they'll either leave them derelict or it'll be a full modernisation sadly :( I'll be back next month so I'll see if owt has changed.
@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL
@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL Жыл бұрын
@@VintageLiftLad even if 5th had an accessible entrance that doesn't provide compliant solutions for 3, 7, 9, 11 unless there's extra ramps i'm not aware of that aren't for cars (and even then you'd expect that only to be compliant so far as to go to the next even number above/below). They definitely were busy when working but they survived for a long time which is a testament to their quality given the lack of decent maintenance. i'ma make an early prediction of nothing will have changed when you revisit

@@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL I think 5 is the only floor with disabled spaces but im not sure. And yeah I have a feeling there'll be no change too

kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIuTdJSloKaIeJo Here they are in December 2021 fully misbehaving 😂😂. It’s such a shame they’ve all broke now but I was long expecting it… The logic on these is mainly original and a set of 4 Expresses is really one of the rarest types left so maintaining them is probably a right pain and needs someone with Express knowledge. I don’t even think they’ll replace these just leave them abandoned.
@VintageLiftLad
@VintageLiftLad Жыл бұрын
@@TheUKTransportBlogger can't lie I loved them when they misbehaved haha. As you can see this one was doing its usual trick of slowing to levelling speed while passing level 3, to get to level 1 lol. And yeah I can imagine them just leaving them abandoned, but I will keep my fingers crossed
