Thanks for watching! The CleanStixx are made from synthetic polymer with sintered polymer fiber tips. The polymers are proprietary but are engineered to ensure high purity to ensure industry leading levels of cleaning performance. The CleanStixx alone are neither conductive or static dissipative because the additives in polymers that would provide conductivity or static dissipative properties to the CleanStixx would result in impurities being deposited onto an endface during cleaning. It is recommended that you use the Sticklers Fiber Optic Splice & Connector Cleaner fluid with the CleanStixx. The use of the fluid makes the wetted CleanStixx static-safe and prevents generation of static charges when cleaning an endface.
