Just finished it without the skips. Best advice: Learning the course with a couple of deliberate losses here and there can be good for predicting the turns. However when playing to win… Stop accelerating BEFORE the sharper turns to get through the rings and accelerate AFTER you hit these rings. Also press R1 immediately after every ring with a straight run/shallower turn. It’s tough but consistency in the sharper turns in key. Erol wound up about 3 seconds behind me by the end.

There's something very ominous about that "rank out" ship, the shadow, the red light.

It makes the "Rank Out Zone" notice on the screen similarly foreboding, as it is like getting trapped outside the Safe Area (the minimum rank was 14th place when the warning appeared on the screen at 18:12). When the "Rank Out Zone" notice appears on the screen, it means the player is facing likely elimination, then that Rank Out Ship appears to remove racers who finish below the Safe Rank. Still, having the Safe Area move to higher positions after each lap is perfect for a battle royale race, as having the Rank Out Ship work like the Safe Zone can make it scary for people who get trapped below the Safe Rank.
