Why are Koreans so much better at popular music than the Japanese? Both countries were introduced to American music at around the same, but when I listen to Korean music I feel like it's as good as American music. In contrast, I've yet to hear a single Japanese song that feels like it's in the same league. The Japanese excel at many other things, so why do they fall short in popular music?
