Canadair Bombardier Aerospace of Montréal, Québec built 95 of these amphibious CL-415, the last one rolled off the assembly line in 2015. In 2016, bombardier sold the company to DeHavilland of Canada (formerly Viking Air) and the manufacturing was moved to Calgary, Alberta. Since then, DeHavilland has been producing about 5-6 per year of the DHC-515 (the upgraded version of the CL-415). Many countries are on the waiting list and the dates for orders are now end of 2027 to the beginning of 2028. There are a total of 160 CL-415s left in the world, 64 alone in Canada.
