Lucky trainees! What a treat for them, and they look fantastic! Quinn Wharton does fantastic work.

Such a fantastic promo! The rep this year looks amazing--quite the lineup of fabulous choreographers. I'm a little jealous-my home studio has 1 new work the entire season and Ballet Idaho is doing all kinds of premieres with some of my favorites.

Probably the best set I’ve ever seen for Nutcracker. Better than NYC ballet and royal ballet, wow job well done.

Brilliant words, I know so many artists and potential artists who have lost their flame and been put off doing any art at all because it seems so impossible to compete. The internet is full of incredible talent but this is a wonderful reminder that it isn't about competing with them for 'likes' but your own journey and your own personal expression and the important thing is to just keep doing it.

I love it when you get a good relationship with a choreographer like that! It's so awesome to be able to create with someone, instead of on someone. It's a beautiful human interaction with the result being a wonderful self-expression from the choreographer as well as the dancer. It's so cool to see how things evolve over the creation process. I love performing!!

Really, truly beautiful to behold. Was privileged to watch a bit of a rehearsal the other evening for Pairings on Pointe: A Wine and Ballet Experience at Ballet Idaho. Enjoyed hearing the chorographer's story about the creation. The music works so well too - dreamy, a little dark, fascinating. The movement depicted quite clearly the anxiety one might experience in a dream.

Okay but the fact on her hops she wasn't fully on or over her box made me cringe so hard. Like I get she's a professional but still. Never liked the clawed foot look.
@gretacampbell748 жыл бұрын
+Lexi lex you're not actually supposed to be over your box on hops, that is how you get seriously injured, hops are not supposed to make your feet look good

Nice, the passion and the drive and dedication. Uh, I think directors confuse themselves with dress rehearsals and forget about economy.....you should've still sold tickets to the dress rehearsal with the intention of getting quick feedback for the next day. Just an idea that too is profitable. The costumes look outstanding...

All the people who are saying that they are taking it to seriously.....why? Of course you have to take it seriously, especially as it has to be so perfect.
@AntigoneIvy12 жыл бұрын
They are a bit too serious :0 as if they are semi-miserable. Yes, it is not an easy route to follow, but you see other dancers who take it to good humour, show close comradery and appreciation true love of how far they have gone. And indeed, chereography is more than just memorizing steps properly, it is about expression, art, inner freedom, putting life into it. A lot of choreographers want this in their dancers, it is incredibly important.

dancers have freedom as well. I think that's the beauty of dance. yes, there are steps we must comprehend and understand but we aren't robots here. You use the technique to polish your artistry.
