In the wild, hens of a species lay when the urge comes, in hidden areas away from predators. The flock does not just stand around and wait as each individual hen lays in her spot. The rooster crows to call the hens back to the flock, or alert a hen with no flock to come join.

@@QuickComedys 10 hatched. But they started hatching the day Hurricane Helene hit us. We lost electricity and I tried to keep the others in the incubator warm, but no more hatched.

@@IBISUSADIVERSE, I'm not sure what you're talking about? Normal ratio of rooster to hen is 1 rooster for 10 hens. He takes care of his girls just fine.

Oh little cute fuzzy guineas! I have some guineas and I noticed that the males also act more dominant than the hens. If you notice your males running around putting their wings up in a strange way, they're being cute! Those little guineas know what they're up to!

One of the weakest looking hurricanes Ive ever seen on land. Not sure NHCs estimate of this being a cat 1 at landfall, beryl at same intensity looked a lot stronger and did more damage at TX landfall. Idalia probably a 2 at landfall as well btw.

@@tvold9204, We got hit with Idialia last year and it was category 3. We live 20 miles west of where it made land fall. But it moved over us quickly. Debby was only a category 1, but lasted nearly 24 hours and for us, we got close to 16" of rain.

I got the same machine I hate it it beeps all the time and the temp keeps fluctuating from 97 to 101 and the humidity I can't get to stay at 70 it fluctuates from 65 to 80. I've already lost 10 eggs I have qual eggs

They do seem to be a "your mileage may vary" species, especially in regards to noise. I've heard descriptions like yours and folks who say they were awakened at least once a night. I think I would give them a try if I could.

I put corn and the water in ice cube trays or muffin tin and freeze. Just toss them in the kiddie pool when frozen. Encorages them to drink more water and even get in the pool to cool down.

No, none. All stopped developing between day 8 to about 16. Paid good money for them, and not one duck to show for it. But I can't say it was the machines fault or just shipped eggs.

Hi, ich habe den selben Automaten in Betrieb, und zum Vergleich einen von einer anderen Firma. Beide haben gute Ergebnisse! Zu deiner Info: den Alarm stellt man ab indem man irgend eine Taste kurz drückt! Und gerade Enten Eier brauchen eine sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, ich denke es könnte sein dass du zu wenig Luftfeuchtigkeit in deinem Automaten hättest um die Enten Eier weiter entwickeln zu lassen. Aber ich finde auch dass die mitgelieferte Beschreibung hier sehr mangelhaft ist! Danke für deine Erfahrungsberichte! Lg Lydia

I have them on our pool deck and they get a lot of sun. Plant veggies that don't require full sun or you can try a garden anyway. My zucchini love partial sun.

@@floridamicrohomesteader3027 I manage to grow certain herbs (namely rosemary, chive, oregano, green onion, lemongrass), but there's no workaround due to the buildings and trees. Locals have tried to get the city to allow a community garden for many years. I am currently trying to get neighbors interested in setting up something on one of the 2 small spaces that get decent sun hours.
