It is indeed a fun little game with an open world, highly recommend, there is a small but active community that hosts events almost bi weekly and there are quests to do in the world as well as things to unlock and Easter eggs to find, there is a PVE server and a PVP server, most PVP is scheduled duels however but be aware you aren't safe, but smaller faster ships usually have no issues outrunning larger ships

The pelican does an evasive launch, first taking a wide circle before boosting upwards at a gradual incline to put horizontal and vertical distance between it and the extraction zone where there are presumably hundred of enemies. This is to avoid getting shot down and make it harder for ground enemies to lead their shot.
