Very interesting, I did not think about email lists like that, you have good arguments! I'm not there yet, but will definitely consider it when I launch.

Omg my grandma has had a singer machine very similar to this for at least 40 years. Hers was built into a table. The nostalgia i feel right now!

Quick question, do you have to backstich at the beginning end the end to secure the stich? Great video, thanks alot:)

How do you switch stitch type on the fly? You have both hands in frame and your foot working the pedal, how on earth do you also switch to zigzag stitch and back again?
@lizehabig637520 күн бұрын
Just lovely! Would also like to know what model machine you are using?
@barbyvause155521 күн бұрын
I appreciate you going through this step by step. I also use an industrial machine to free motion, but I do it on automotive upholstery. I didn’t realize there were industrial machines that zigzag. That would be a really nice feature to enhance what I do. What machine do you use ? Mine is an older juki model.

What size are your zigzag stitches please? And what size is your needle and thread? You are really an expert and thank you for sharing!

Can this be done with modern sewing machines? Is there something special about an old one that makes this possible, or was she just making a point that even a really old machine can do it.

She answered it at the very end, how exciting!

That’s great. I’ve seen you using zigzag and you seem to make it wide then thinner without touching the settings. I’d love to know how you do that 🤔

What length stitch do you set the machine to when free motion quilting please?
@wardrobeschoolАй бұрын
There's no stitch length control because the feed dogs aren't active! It's all free motion and I move the fabric faster for shorter length or slower for longer length. hope that makes sense!
@suni485Ай бұрын
So you have put the feed dog down?

If I find a picture I want to embroider, I'll sometimes put it on a large screen (like a tablet) and sketch it over white fabric like a tracing sheet. If I want it on a less transparent fabric, I'll trace it onto the wash-away fabric and layer that with my end fabric.
@wardrobeschool3 ай бұрын
Great! Thank you for the ideas. I don't like using wash away much because I work a lot on silk and light linen fabric, the stabilizer makes the fabric a bit stiff with a gum after washing. I use many different ways to transfer and for black fabrics my favorite is the davinci app. It's amazing!

Thank you very much🍀 I have an old singer at home and was wondering how on earth i could make letters on my daughters Judo uniform. I'll need to get the plastic cover since it isn't part of the machine.

What I don’t understand is how you make the width of the zigzag change while sewing without adjusting the stitch width 🤔
