It's so weird seeing a powerful, well-defined hurricane in the tropical Atlantic in EARLY JULY, let alone a Category 5. Beryl was a legendary storm.

Having lived in Hessen, which is portrayed as a climatically doomed part of Germany, ever since my family moved here from the United States in 1964, I can assure you, dear Ed Hawkins, that no one in Hessen/Germany has experienced the warming or “climate catastrophe” that you seem to conjure up. Having studied climatology myself from 1978 to 1984 at the Universities of Trier and Hamburg, I find it quite absurd and irresponsible to claim that there is a “climate emergency” in Hessen - or any other part of the world for that matter. I find it irresponsible and reprehensible to frighten children and young people with a catastrophe that is totally constructed. But, even more to visualize a climate catastrophe, to illustrate it with symbolic colors so to speak, is to exploit the seductiveness of children and young people. And that is appalling, no matter how "woke" it appears to be.

Yeah Croatia coast and coast background suffers a lot and it is horrible to watch. Many brave fireman lost their life when were fighting fire trough years because reckless tourists mainly don't care about what they do and start it with their actions. Not all the time to be clear, but it is mostly human act that started them, with help of high temperatures and hard access areas it is very hard to fight them. Shout out to Dalmacija.
