I like this version of the song but this guy Cameron Whatever is a complete insecure mess with no effort in being an entertainer. He doesn't dance, he doesn't do anything but stand there & put his arms over his head. When he's shirtless he just uses his arms to cover his upper body. That's just odd from a person performing a song. Everything he does is lackadaisical like "What are we doing here again? Oh yeah, I'm singing a song thats not even mine to begin with I'm performing a cover so I'm just gonna let it all hang out. No regrets, one life baby, here we go!!Whats it called again? My dog Sam eats purple flowers?. Got it..... I think."

Easily one of the best songs from that era. I saw them perform it live on-stage in '69 or '70. They were the house band at a place called "The Tiki Club" at Springdale Rd and Colerain Ave in Cincinnati, OH, in the late '60s.

Christina Applegate may not of wrote this butt the movie version of this song is more upbeat late 80's early 90's although I love this guy from valley girls i wish he sung the movie version too much guitar soo yes Christina Applegate does gotta lott too do with this song they played it twice n the movie the song fitts well with her I'm sure the people who did the soundtrack hadd her n mind IM VERY SURE OF THAT a man n the 70s sung it first soo yeah they hadd her n mind for the 90's movie version for sure soo she has everything too do with the movie verson buddy
