Long story short, dont get addicted into videogames to the point of losing your time to God, violence games are allowed as long as you dont get affected or dont have the wanting to murder people. If such wants happen, pray and seek help along with getting rid of the game as soon as you feel like wanting to murder. (Which most of the times dont happen but yea)

If we are led by the Holy Spirit, then we should know that we are not meant to be playing these violent games, as they can cause anger and frustration and foul words to come from our mouthes. But I must say this; I would love to play these games, the graphics are so amazing, but I feel it is wrong. I always ask myself this question when I am stuck. What would Jesus do?

I have a mental illness called schizoaffective disorder. I forget a lot that Jesus took on are illnesses not just the consequences of sin. To anyone else who has accepted Jesus, considers themselves a Christian and has been diagnosed with a mental illness. I would recommend Ravi Zacharias's book about his life, God in the Shadows.

Honestly doing a google search shows all of the denominations must be false Churches since Jssus didn't have anything to do with any of them. At least the Catholic/Orthodox Churches can prove they existed due to being established by actual apostles.

God isn’t real

You speak of the Holy Spirit nudging us. Questions is, how do we know it is the Holy Spirit nudging us and it isn't ourself, or the church shoving us into what they want, or even Satan? Because listen closely. Even Satan can make his voice sound so much like God's that we get fooled, NO MATTER how close you are to God. So how do you know it is the Holy Spirit and NOT ourselves, the church shoving their will down out throats and calling it God's will, or Satan's?

It is better to just to stay away from it all. I used to play video games (owned multiple gaming consoles) and binged watched many TV shows. At the end of the day, IT IS ALL A DISTRACTION FROM GOD AND TRULY LIVING FOR HIM. If you have to think about which is more important - your own pleasure or focusing on Jesus Christ, then please give up the thing that has made you a slave to it. The answer should obviously be Jesus. Consider this verse, "You say, “I am allowed to do anything”-BUT NOT EVERYTHING IS GOOD FOR YOU. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I MUST NOT BECOME A SLAVE TO ANYTHING" (1 Corinthians 6:12). God loves you and sent his Son, Jesus Christ, who died for your sins (1 John 2:2). Jesus Christ, who "is the image of the invisible God" and is equal with God, humbled himself as slave and died a criminal's death on your behalf (Colossians 1:15; Philippians 2:1-8). We are asked to do the following: "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator" (Colossians 3:5-10) I hope this helps anyone reading this!
