Stock exhaust weighs 28 pounds so a good 4into 1 like a muzzy titanium weighs about 8.

I just bought an 88 750 Super Magna. Looks brand new!!!! 12,500 miles on her!!! I feel like I won a jackpot!!! I love this bike so much. Just had to take out the carbs 4 times. LOL then put new oil, filter, and tires. Has the Honda highway pegs, windshield, and backrest. Man I love this bike! I get all kinds of compliments on it. He wanted 3K for it. But when I looked at it, it leaked fuel big time. Got it for 1750. All stock. No stupid mods done. Not rust at all!!!! It's like it came out of a time capsule!! And YES,, I'm bragging my ass off. LOL

I did too, now I remember the other plain Mobil commercial with oil or gas swooshing around in the "o".

If your oil is running hotter than about 220-240F degrees there's something wrong. I'm not saying it doesn't happen because it does.. especially if your radiator is plugged, or out of fluid, or your thermostat isn't opening. And then your engine will be grateful you're running M1, Valvoline, or QS because they can really take the heat.

Had a job in the auto center at monkey wards a long time ago. We sold oil, tires, gimmicky things, service, etc. I was driving an Olds 88 Royale Brougham at the time. 307 V8. For whatever reason we were selling out of the Mobil 1 synthetic oil and oil wasn't expensive back then like it is now but I got the M1 oil for like $.75/qt. For some kind of comparison the Havoline I used back then was about twice that. Conventional oil. I changed the oil over to the synthetic and it wasn't even 3000 miles before I had ran through 8 quarts of the M1. I went back to Havoline and hardly used any between changes. M1 could have been better I'll never know. But that's been my experience with M1 and another top brand every time I use them. I do like their Super line of products. I had one car I drove 150,000 miles on QS and then had to replace valve cover and intake gaskets. It was clean inside the engine. Maybe that mysterious sludge only shows up around 558,000 miles? One vehicle I had in the last 10 years got along great on Pennzoil. I couldn't figure out why the Pennzoil had so low Noack in just their conventional branded bottle? Found out later it was because the "conventional" was blended with their GTL because GTL is cheaper to produce than to refine crude. The GTL is about the purest thing out there outside of maybe group 5 esters you'll find in something like Redline. When you see 6% loss and on the second test see 4.7% loss (Noack) in a conventional and the API SN only requires less than 15% and you take top brands that have numbers like 11% and 13% (and these are supposed to be the better oils, and that one everyone loves not even telling the exact number.. just claiming it's less than 15%)... it's different now than it was back then. Some say better. Some claim not better.. actually worse. I just buy what's relatively inexpensive and get along just fine. It's my money. It'll be just fine.
