I grew up on Slim in the early 50s - I had older brothers - and still play him often. I was so blessed when he came out to Australia in the 70s, to go and see him and meet him later backstage. Such an important part of my growing up.

Awful video. For one you mention Will's Point as if it was in Oklahoma........it was in Sacramento and prior Fresno, Ca. Why don't you do your homework. It's no wonder you only have 37 likes.

Since i left school in 1971 i herd slims voice for the very first time then i was hooked slims voice captured me like a magnet. Ive never herd such clarity in any song until that time then i was hooked with slim whitman fever i saw him on stage 4 times during the 1970s and i was just amazed by his voice. And his stature i went back stage to meet him . Wow . R.i.p. dear slim .and thank you for so many great years of beautiful music.

Slim Whitman was the Best Country Music Singer and Yodeler Ever and it"s an Absolute Disgrace that Slim is not in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Todays Country Music is Rubbish !!!.

Why do you claim sad ending, He was the Michael Jordan of Western Music. He lived a full life and finished the race. What an outstanding life he led and blessed us with his talents to the point of decades later Superstars wanted to do an album with him just to be part of that. Sad ending you shouldn't be allowed to comment on such a giant with your disrespect for a few dollars. 🤠🤠

Funny how they talk about things as if she didn't get famous from getting laid. Articles always like she leaves little to the imagination.... As a literal sex video that made her famous exists... And people get paid to write the news but still sensationalize and sexualize things... But everyone's crying about sexualization and making money off of sleezy business practices...

Maybe people like doctors and those that help run the country should make as much as people getting laid cause they could put out one night. Mostly doing nothing for the world at that to....

Slim Whitman had a great career and life. He had one of the greatest voices of all time. What a disgraceful comment to say that he had a sad ending, quite the opposite he had a long and happy life being married to the same woman for 67 years and having a stellar career

The only sad ending for Perry started when his wife died, and Perry ended up with dementia, witch is normal as you get old. He was a good living religious man.
