Subhanallah! I had a similar experience during my first visit to Madinah in March 2023. The last few years leading up to my first visit to Saudi were some rough years in terms of spirituality. A family I know here in Qatar used to advise me to visit Madinah and to make umrah. I used to make excuses for not going. Finally in 2023, I visited my dying friend in Dammam and decided to make umrah and visit Madinah. That Qatari family found out that I was there and took me on a VIP visit to the Rowda. I really didn't know what to do, but the shaykh told me to pray as long as I wanted. I prayed right next to Bait Aisha for about 45 minutes. My friend sent this to me today with a message "sounds like a story I know". This instantly brought tears to my eyes because it is a reminder of Allah's love for His servants regardless of the hardships and bouts of laziness. Keep your lights lite brothers and sisters, and don't despair of Allah's mercy and forgiveness.
