I respect muslim scholars but true scholars will claim not to be familiar with clinical symptoms Very likely that my comments will be ignored by those who post videos that are not correct - advice to audience to consider it a jihad to correct incorrect information, in particular false information on deen. Some so called scholars hide behind cloak of deen and not seek advice from those who know better about clinical matters in light of Islam, Islam is common person’s religion and simple. Don’t complicate it please. It is every Muslim’s duty to seek correct information and knowledge to identify mistakes of so called scholars ( some call themselves as students of islam) who know about religion in Quran and Sunna but are not fully acquainted with common Muslim’s life and dilemmas. I have offered many so called scholars to sit with me but they shy away. Some politely decline and others don’t reply while some quarrel and argue without hearing the information that will help them and common person in the ummah. Some don’t want to correct their mistakes openly because they know that will damage their following on social media and they will lose credibility. I am not a scholar of Islam but know that they are wrong when they hide behind scripture without applying to life in general. Islam is the most practical way of life where being good solves a lot of issues. Jadoo is Kufr and seeking help from anyone other than Allah is shirk. Those who claim that they know about jadoo, are wrong. Those who claim to use jadoo (magic) don’t know anything more than messing with thinking of a simple person. Please remove videos that cause more damage than good. Bottom line is that those with unexplained symptoms are not possessed by Jin, afflicted by jadoo, victim of Nazar or under a spell such black magic. In 3 decades as a psychiatrist I am yet to see anyone with black magic, Nazar or possession. IMental illness is treatable and treat it with medication proper trained help for therapy by people who know the subject. Dua is very important and spirituality extremely important. Please pray for Allah’s mercy and for Shifa. No health without mental health and no cure and solution without Allah’s blessings. Please stop following such videos and scholars who preach without practicing what they preach. please please correct such misperceptions and don’t listen and practice on information which is wrong- seek help from clinicians who have experience in psychiatry and are aware of Islam and sunnah. Listening to half baked information will do you more damage than good. One thing I agree would is that don’t let fake faith healers, your own social circles and friends mess up with your thought processes. I request to those who think they know clinical psychiatry to please connect with those who can advice you on such matters before you post videos that are only partially correct. Trust me I know what I am saying for the good of ummah. Please don’t go to a Raqi or fake faith healers - Ruqiya is simple and you can practice yourself alongside getting clinical help. These scholars say some good points about Raqi and fake faith healers and seeking help for mental health. But overall information on black magic is incorrect Please stop promoting information which is incorrect. These are symptoms of mental illness seek help from a psychiatrist. Don’t go to people who are not trained to give advice.
