Based on our experience with the Cowboy, I would strongly advise against purchasing this bike. We have owned a Cowboy for about a year and a half, but due to various technical defects (battery, torque sensor, bottom bracket, etc.), we have been able to use it for less than half of that time. The "repair process" through customer service is always the same and extremely frustrating. First, a time-consuming remote diagnosis is conducted to determine the alleged issue with the bike. Then, an appointment is made with a bike repair shop, and Cowboy sends the parts, which can take over four weeks. When the bike and parts finally arrive at the workshop, the mechanics are often bewildered because the diagnosed issue does not match the actual problem, and the parts sent are inappropriate. Consequently, the whole process starts over again. Both for us and the workshop, communication with Cowboy’s customer service is very frustrating, as responses are either nonexistent or very sparse. Additionally, Cowboy schedules repair appointments in 20-minute slots and compensates accordingly, which is not worthwhile for the workshop. We rely on a functioning bike for our daily commute. So far, Cowboy has refused any form of compensation (e.g. a replacement or rental bike). In my opinion, good customer service looks very different.

I like that the rear rack forms part of the frame but this seems like a lot of work just for that.

Love your bikes, but please for safety sake change the lights! Rear light should be integrated in the rear fender, not the battery. If you're carrying anything, or wearing a longer coat, the rear light is currently obstructed! Also: the front light should be mounted on the steering wheel, so it actually illuminates the angle you're going in a turn.

Do I get the original mudguards in addition when I order the bike with the premounted rack? Would be good to be able to remove the rack if I come to the conclusion I don't need it.

I have many problems with this bike for months, Cowboy diligently sends parts that do not solve the problems. Maybe I got a bad bike. It may be that large proportion of the bikes are good. In my case I got a crappy bike, all requests from me to replace the bike are ignored. several times. I do not recommend anyone to buy this bike. Tens of problems. Everywhere squeaks the bike. Looks only good. Miserable.

we bought one for 3K and it SUCKS, and we can't get them to fix it. Have had it a year, since day 1 it just stops working randomly, no power despite being fully charged. Customer service is this poor guy taking a full day to ask some inane question,, can you take a picture, oh we are out of this part. They have never had anyone look at it and have been putting us off for many months. Great bike if it works!

Nice video, bad bike. Have had several problems for months that no one can really fix. 6-7 times people came by my house or I went to the workshop. Maybe I got a Monday bike, maybe so. But with so many problems that don't stop, no one even suggests a replacement. They keep sending parts that no one can install properly. Standing in the workshop for weeks without fixing the problem. Don't be distracted by the beauty. A bicycle has to work and ride. Mine doesn't. I have no more nerves. Nothing works properly!

Schönes Video, schlechtes Fahrrad. Habe seit Monaten mehrere Probleme, die keiner wirklich beheben kann. 6-7 Mal waren Leute bei mir oder ich in der Werkstatt. Vielleicht habe ich einen Montagsfahrrad erwischt, mag ja sein. Aber bei so vielen Problemen die nicht aufhören schlägt niemand nichtmal einen Austausch vor. Wird fleissig Teile verschickt, die keiner richtig montieren kann. Wochenlang in der Werkstatt gestanden, ohne Behebung des Problems zurück. Lasst euch nicht von der Schönheit ablenken. Ein Fahrrad muss auch problemlos funktionieren, fahren. Meins tut das nicht. Ich habe keine nerven mehr. Nichts funktioniert richtig!!

Since I liked the ST already this is a really nice bike again. But can you give is one with proper gears too, next to the belt? I wouldn’t mind a front or middle motor then. 😉

I'm loving my Cowboy 4 so far. This one seems to have at least one of the critics i have to be sorted out. Which is that the low positon of the steering gives you less view of the street in front of you and you constantly need to overbend your neck. Which makes it hard to enjoy long rides. The other thing is the brakes. I hope they enhanced them because after time they seem to not grip as much. And that feels as if the system doesn't work properly. Other then that i had 3 flat tires in about 2000km which made me change to some other tires. But nothing is perfect and i look forward to ride the bike every day.

Finger weg! Meine Erfahrungen mit Cowboy sind leider nicht gut und ich kann von einem Kauf nur abraten! Ich habe mein Fahrrad vor knapp zwei Jahren erworben. Nach langer Wartezeit erhielt ich mein Fahrad per Lieferdienst. Ich habe mich gefreut und wollte losfahren. Setze mich aufs Fahrrad und merke das die Bremsen kaputt sind!. Auf Supportanfrage erklärt man mir dann das ich mich selber um die Reparatur kümmern muss und nur die Kosten übernommen werden. Fand ich damals schon sehr frech, noch dazu das es echt schwer war einen Händler zu finden der ein Cowboy repariert. Erstattung ging dann zwar, war aber auch mühselig und man versuchte erst nur einen TEIL zu zahlen und hat die Restsumme erst nach Beschwerde beglichen!!! Jetzt nach 1,5 Jahren ist auf einmal der Aku defekt. Ich schreibe an Cowboy und bekomme als Antwort, dass das daran liegt das ich angeblich eine längere Zeit den Aku nicht geladen habe. Das stimmt nicht, da ich jeden Monatsanfang in der Wohnung den Aku geladen habe. Trotzdem weigert sich Cowboy innerhalb der Garantiezeit einen Wechsel vorzunehmen, sondern verspricht nur Ersatz gegen Zahlung eines neuen Aku, der "netterweise nur" 300 Euro erneut kostet. Ich war sehr verärgert. Habe dann letzten Endes trotzdem bestellt, weil ich nicht weiß wie ich beweisen kann, dass der Aku regelmäßig geladen wurde. Nach Bestellung hat Cowboy das Geld sehr schnell eingezogen. Einziges Problem. Auf die Lieferung des Aku warte ich bis heute. Der Support schreibt zwar "nette Mails" das er sich darum kümmert. Es kommt aber nichts, außer nervende Mails mit Werbung und das sie den angeblich "kaputten" Aku zurück wollen -> ein Schelm wer böses denkt^^. Von einem Kauf möchte ich alle Interessierten abraten. Es ist zwar optisch ein schönes Fahrrad, man kauft sich aber nur Probleme ein, einen katastrophalen Support und Verweigerungen von Garantie Leistungen.
