Hello Diana, Greetings from the UK. I'm a grandmother who home educated 2 of our 4 (now adult) children for 8 years each (9 years for me) and also my grandchildren are now home educated. Someone once said to me, the hardest thing about home education is deciding to do it in the first place. One thing I would say is don't put yourself under pressure and don't try to replicate school at home. Enjoy the freedom home schooling gives. Sometimes you will feel that the children haven't learnt anything that day/week or you haven't done enough with them and should try harder. But no, they are learning all the time, all the hours they are awake (and probably when they are asleep too?!) God will lead you and provide for you. xx

This year I have edited so much of my Christmas decorations. My grown children don't want any of it (save for their Pooh Bear Christmas stockings), so I have offloaded some items on Mercari, eBay, a summer yard sale and gave most to Goodwill. I now have two bins (one large and one small) and our Christmas train. I now have a very small fake table top Christmas tree that doesn't take up a ton of space. It's such a stress-free feel this year. Cheers all!

I have missed your videos so much! I don’t know if you will do one from time-to-time, but I’m a new homeschool mama too. I’m curious how you have been structuring your days. Do you do playdates? Are you home most of the day? I’m always so torn on whether to be spontaneous and hang out with my kids friends or be more routine and hang at home (not accepting invites much). Curious how you handle that with two younger kids too since you’re so intentional with how you spend your time.

Focusing your work as a mother is more important than than anything. I’m so glad you made this choice. As a T1D I myself appreciate your decision very very much.

I can’t believe people were criticizing you for getting help. So many of the women in the Bible had helpers in the home.

Thank you for this!!! Seriously! It's never hit me so hard until this video, and honesty, I have not even made it halfway through your video yet. But, thank you. ❤ Especially all the bits about our children. I give so many other things, people, and families, my attention, and completely push away my own life right in front of me. But no one ever wants to admit this! And I really do think this may have done it for me now. Thank you. Even if it was just to yank my eyes open so much more to see what I'm doing, not just to me, but my own family, loved ones, and children!!! If I could help prevent them from becoming half as bad as I am at times, then I'm all for it. Sorry, so long of a comment. I wanted to show my appreciation. ❤

I recently started working as a household assistant for a family and I love my job. There is so much wisdom in seeing where you could use help and asking for it. My goal is to do my job well so my boss can enjoy her free time more with her children.

Congratulations!! I have only ever homeschooled and my eldest is 18 and working fulltime now and my youngest is 3, i have kids every 2 years in between and im pregnant with #9. Homeschooling is up there as one of my best choices in life, it is a massive gift to the mother and the whole family. My short advice is 1. Dont try to replicate school at home, but rather it's about a lifestyle family journey of learning and living together. 2. Dont stress, about anything.... Your child might at times look "behind" but it really doesnt matter, they don't have to learn on a schedule.... There will be times they will fly ahead, so relax and dont compare them. 3. Keep it simple. Enjoy the ride, it's been the best thing in my life besides, choosing my husband, becoming a Christian and having all the children. God is good ❤❤❤

I just love stories like this! I had two just like this #5 and #6 babies born in the resuscitation bays of the emergency department with the ED staff - and I hope I get to have my current (#9) baby like this too!!! Just love this kind of birth for Christians, our births are redeemed ❤✝️

Oh, my goodness! I almost never hop on YT casually - I'm so glad I did today! I have no homeschooling insight other than to say I know so many who absolutley love it! And just wanted to say I STILL reference your previous work all the time and tell people about the impact your lessons and FFM course have helped me! I will read something or come across a situation and I'll think "what would Diana think about this?" LOL

It's so nice to hear from you! We continue to pray for your family! Our children were in Christian schools and home schooled. The best advice that can be given is, have a plan, know that plans change, give yourself grace, and do what works for your family! God bless!

So good to hear from you and get an update on you and your family. It is exciting to know that you and your family are starting the journey of homeschooling. My husband and I homeschooled our son from kindergarten thru high school. He is now 25 years of age. If I could go back, I would tell myself to not judge myself or my 'student', child, by the bad days but to rest in the sovereignty, faithfulness, and goodness of my Lord. For years, I fretted that my son was not grasping reading. One day the Lord spoke to me through a homeschool speaker about reading and the Word of God. With tears, I prayed Lord if he can just learn to read Your Word. God was faithful as He always is! Our son loves reading God's Word and writes worship songs full of the Truth. He is thriving in his relationship with Jesus Christ as well as his job and relationships with others. My encouragement to you and your family as you begin this journey is keep it simple and always, always keep God in the center of everything from teacher plans to activities. Let the Word of God be the main textbook of your family's homeschool. Commit every plan, curriculum, activity, etc. to Jesus and then rest in His sovereignty, faithfulness, and goodness. Enjoy the moments!

We’ve been homeschooling a few years. Being flexible & willing to switch curriculum when things aren’t working is super important. Some people say oh it only takes 2 hours a day. For me personally that hasn’t been true. It requires a lot more than that time wise to accomplish the goals I have. Also each kid is so different. I wish you all the best!

You’ll love homeschooling! Just let the Holy Spirit lead and enjoy it. I graduated my son over a year ago and my daughter will be a freshman. (My 6yr old goes to public school in a special ed classroom where she gets all her therapies etc.) Flexibility is so important. And community.

How do we do this in the southern hemisphere? In Australia, Christmas occurs during summer. How do I decorate for the liturgical season of Christmas when the "decor default" at that time of year would be summery?

Your job description link doesn't work. I have hired several sitters and had them also do light house cleaning and some food prep for myself. It worked out so so.... I found most young people can't manage a household and most other people don't want to do more than the minimum. Now that my kids are older I basically just need help with homework, making sure my kids do chores, light house keeping, food prep, organization of my home, possibly take my kids to after school activities, manage our food budget, grocery shopping. I am watching this because I'm about to put out another ad.

What had you choose between the light phone for several hundred dollars or something like the Nokia 105 for $41. Is there a difference? Both don’t have a camera.
