Likely a "philosophical difference" in Sway's contract is minimum number of games. This is "asset Management" now. They have to play him to get his value up. I heard they set the goalie schedules at the beginning of the month. And stay with it

That's funny... I say swayman can go for McDavid and I'd hang on to Coyle and geekie for depth. They're playing beyond their lines -it's not their fault. they're great depth that I don't want to lose. We want coyle during playoffs-does a lot of dirty work 4th touch away from a goal or high dangerous shot.. on his knees battling I totally agree with your perspective on Ollie. He's got limited skills, not a two-way player yet, so, put him on the power play and the Michigan trick kid in the locker room. Doesn't cost much. He's happy to be back home - happy players tend to produce. Bruins locker room has been, not happy If we can spice up the power play, that's a win Nothing to lose at this point ✌️

Isles fan here. Trotz destroyed this guy. He brings him up, plays him 8 minutes a night. The defense first system was not a fit for him (yes the isles were winning games) Any time he would make the slightest mistake, he would be a healthy scratch the next 5 games or just get sent down. Roy comes in and its more of the same. If he dresses at all, its on the 4th line in a checking role. That's not what he should be doing. His shot is amazing. He is really good in the shootout. He needed a fresh start. I think he def has more to give than what we saw here.

Can't remember the last time I've seen a Bruins team this bad, maybe when Chirelli brought in all those ponies like Soderberg . All I see is a bunch of mediocre players. The only guy who was exciting to watch was Poitras and now he's rotting down in Providence. Both Lindholms seem to be a bust. Enough already with Frederick , Geekie, Johnson, etc.. Still disappointed with Coyle - he should be a constant 20 goal scorer. Marshy has lost a step. Pasta still gives away the puck constantly ! We used to pride ourselves on the PK and now our defense sucks. Lohrei was a bright spot but he's making mistakes, probably too much pressure on the young player. This team is a mess and I don't see getting another question mark is gonna save them . Maybe it's time for Sweeney to go !

We haven't been tanking to get top draft picks Krejci & Bergeron for pennies on the dollar We've been in rebuild since chara left. But then this goalie Ullmark came along and faked everybody out! Linus is likely why Krejci came back out of retirement and why Bergeron hung on another season Then we broke every piggy bank, to go for that all in cup run. Bertuzzi, orlov, Hathaway Now Linus is gone, Very few to no prospects coming up the pipeline, and we're dealing with reality Unless you want to keep tanking like Montreal to keep collecting top draft picks, we've got to find undrafted guys like Torey Krug. Go back to development. Bring in the best prospects we can, develop them - then trade them for roster players. Our bank account has been empty even in debt, since before covid. They anticipated salary cap would be increasing at a quicker level. The pre - panic demic contracts aren't shrinking under the aav as they anticipated, so they are feeling heavy. Like McAvoy This perfect storm has been brewing since the season Chara left. It was clear during the Canes playoff series. We didn't know covid was going to screw up the salary cap increases which are dependent on NHL revenues. Evan Gold is the accountant with the magic touch. That guy has pulled money out of the air To get through the centennial seasons But remember, we are celebrating the inaugural season of the Boston bruins. 1924 - 25 season Bruins only won six out of 30 games 😆 History is repeating itself exactly 100 years later Which means we are due for a cup in 2029 ! Enjoy the game 🐻

There hasn’t been one guy though on the isles that’s cracked 70-80 points in how long? Josh Bailey and Tavares maybe that team plays trap hockey, they get a goal or 2 and play defence, there the only worse offensive team that’s got playoff chances other than the bruins. And Boston it’s not lack of trying to score it’s just finishing the scoring chances, but the islanders are a defensive minded team and patty doesn’t really like his offensive juggernauts he rather win the defensive and goaltending way then trying to get involved in a shootout

This is the Michigan trick kid! Let's hope he's got a trick or two. His major issue seems to be consistency. Islander fans and sports journalists were talking about his not being the same after a 2022 ACL issue Linus struggled with injuries, hip surgery, getting called back up early from rehab at Buffalo - I don't think he was fully rehabbed until he came to Boston Sports medicine I'm keeping my fingers crossed that might be the case I tend to go to the team they're coming from when we get a newly traded player They're the ones who have been watching them. Oliver Wahlstrom??? He's a right winger. His "potential" talent is undeniable and, in addition, he's a player with an intimidating grinder attitude (well-asserted during his junior career). But since his arrival in the pros, not only has he not stood out but he has not shown the determination that was expected of him. Despite the fact that he is still very young (24 years old), the Islanders have given up. Wearing the BRUINS jersey, teammate of Marchy, Pasta and McAvoy, will he finally come out of his shell and actualize his potential? I remain very skeptical... I still have the bad impression of a grotesque somersault number from GM Don. Peter Chiarelli was a team "builder", Don Sweeney was content to plug gaps. The difference is huge... and in recent years, more obvious than ever. I'm not changing my position: Owner Jacobs must immediately fire Neely and Sweeney.

Krejci, Bergeron taking pennies on the dollar contracts We knew this was coming. dumb luck Linus Ullmark landed in our laps... Even Taylor Hall speed Particularly linus, held off the obvious rebuild that was coming Even Swayman got ridiculous coddled stats because Linus handled the much heavier load. Clearly burnt or injured by playoffs. Bergeron had outstanding leadership in his locker room when he was captain. No disrespect yet neither McAvoy nor Pasta are leaders. We knew this was coming. Oliver Wahlstrom is now the Boston Bruins best under 25 wing in their entire organization and that includes Fabian Lysell Walhstrom’s combo of size, speed, puck handling, willingness to go to the dirty areas as well as his natural goal scoring acumen all equate to his having a higher ceiling than whatever Lysell’s may still be at the NHL level Wahlstrom has his warts as his effort, consistency and attitude have all generally stunk since the day he came into the league That being said, any Bruins fan can attest to the fact that under Don Sweeney some prospects simply haven’t been handled properly in terms of their development and in Wahlstrom’s case, that’s also been true whether or not Wahlstrom can put it together and become the kind of Brady Tkachuk type of Top 6 forward he was projected to be when he was selected 11th back in 2018….? Who knows, probably not at this point but if he can just turn into a middle-six power forward that can score 30-40 points wouldn’t even that be a huge win for Boston right now? However, no matter how you slice it or dice it Lysell looks like a potential bust and it’s starting to sure seem like even the Bruins don’t think Georgii Merkulov is a real NHL player How do we know the Bruins aren't very much interested in Lysell or Merkulov? Um, they just decided to burn what little Cap space they had adding an outside of the organization RW instead of bringing either Lysell or Merkulov up while they keep brining up turds like McLaughlin, Viel, Tufte, Patrick Brown.. By claiming Wahlstrom he has to be on their roster the rest of the year as well, so it's kind of obvious Lysell and Merkulov are fading as prospects, even in the Bruins own eyes. Proof? Um, this move But even after those two, it’s a black hole in terms of Top 6 wings in their largely terrible NHL Farm System. All they have at wing after Lysell & Merkulov are 3rd-7th round guys that all project, at their ceilings, as bottom 6 players Maybe a 5th round long shot like Oscar Jellvik can put his skill set together and crack a Top 6 role but that’s literally it after an underwhelming Merkulov and a “heading towards bust status” Fabian Lysell Riley Duran, Dans Locmelis, Trevor Kuntar, Cole Spicer, John Faranacci, Chris Pelosi, Ryan Walsh,...... These are the Bruins best Wing/Forward prospects behind Lysell and Merkulov (who knows what Dean Letorneau is at this point). And not a single one of those guys projects as a Top 6 anything at the NHL level assuming any of them make it But before you get your hopes up for any of these Don Sweeney's 3rd-7th round forwards you might want to take a look at history. Don Sweeney has made 37 3rd-7th round picks since he became GM back in 2015 The games played leaders at forward drafted by Don Sweeney in rounds 3-7? -Lauko (83 NHL games) No longer with the team. 3rd round pick -Steen (60 NHL games) No longer in the NHL. 6th round pick -Koppanen (5 NHL games) No longer in the NHL. 5th round pick So as of today not a single forward Don Sweeney has ever drafted in rounds 3-7 is on the Bruins presently and in 10 years as GM one forward drafted in rounds 3-7 (Lauko) is a real NHL guy. 1 out of 37. Not exactly a solid "hit" rate Thus at the very least, adding a player in Oliver Wahlstrom, that has a rare combo of size/speed/skill/natural goal scoring ability, would be called a "good thing" And if he turns out to continue to be a bust, well, Walhstrom would have just proven he’s really a Don Sweeney guy at the end of the day after all -Busted 1st round draft pick -Played college hockey in New England Win-Win either way :) I’m still not 100% sure if Wahlstrom being the Bruins best under 25 wing prospect now is something to celebrate? Or If it’s just a further indictment on Don Sweeney's terrible drafting and developing that a guy another NHL team just threw in the garbage, that 30 other NHL teams passed on, is now your organization’s best wing prospect Tough call…

You left out Oliver's ACL issue. If you look at his interviews when he was 9 years old, he tells us directly. He likes practices, doesn't like games Lol! Seriously, that's who he is. You should know him- He's the Michigan trick boy. Might help to have a fan favorite to detract from the rebuild we've clearly been in since Chara left. Most players don't stay with the teams to which they're drafted We haven't been tanking, no access to top draft picks. We broke every piggy bank to go for that 2023 all in cup run Getting Bergeron, Krejci for pennies on the dollar. I think hampus Lindholm is a great acquisition. Check out his first interview with the Bruins - it was a no-brainer decision, he already decided long before his ducks contract was up - and yes, he could have gotten more money elsewhere. He's being sorely missed right now I listen to games being 4 hours behind in time zone, when he's on the ice hyphen I hear him through the play-by-play microphone calling plays Talking to teammates The ice has gone silent. I'll just add those concepts to the conversation That's quite a breakdown you've done Look a little bit beyond the stats - what's up with Oliver's ACL? When we have someone traded in, I don't go to other Bruins for information on them - I go to where they come from, islander fans to get information. Something happened around 2022 - they're saying he hasn't played the same since he had an ACL issue There's no better Sports medicine than Boston I think that's why Pat maroon came here And how Chara hung onto his hockey health all those years Ullmark was injured on sabers.. came to Boston and look! Sabers fans told me he was far better than his stats because he was playing injured, then called up early from rehab But I couldn't convince Bruins fans of that for a while So find out what's going on with that ACL - that seemed to be a negative turning point ✌️
@robertforte6697Күн бұрын
@@TheFoolintherainn the ACL is probably why he hasn't developed His development on Long Island was also bad as he wasn't given the right opportunities far too often My main post is regardless of anything else, Wahlstrom at least has high end talent in his DNA hockey wise and the Bruins crap farm system has little of that Maybe Wahlstrom finds his game in Boston or maybe he's toast due to the ACL injury and his crap attitude, effort & consistency It cost he Bruins zero assets beyond the remaining few months on his cheap contract that is expiring It's more of a sad state that Wahlstrom is their best wing prospect now He's clearly jumped Lysell They just burned their cap space bringing in a RW when they could have just called Lysell up
