This is what I want to do so bad but I have so many questions! Would the Army pay for college? Would I be an officer? Will I be in combat?
@ArmymedicineMil8 жыл бұрын
Have you taken a look at www.goarmy.com/? If you come in as an enlisted Soldier, the Army will help pay for school. To become an officer, you need to already have at least a bachelor's degree when you join.

Take a look at this and let me know if you still have questions: www.goarmy.com/amedd/veterinarian.html

you could also become an enlisted army vet tech without college. vet techs are never in combat, but you might be deployed to a combat zone

tiehut My biggest concern at the moment is that I'm on anti depressants. I'm afraid of being denied for taking them. I also have tattoos but they thankfully pass the army's expectations. I can't afford college and I'd love to serve in the Army. I'm also worried about the 6 year contract.

Wow, I'm just seeing this now, but congratulations to both of them! I have been fortunate enough to work under their commands at two different stations (CSM Brock first, and next I believe LTC or COL Horoho at the time) and can truly say they care for the troops. That is obviously a critical trait in their positions.

Congratulations to both LTG Horoho and CSM Brock. With deep respect I send you words of support to do the work you have taken on. All the best.

Congratulations LTG Horoho and CSM Brock. I worked for the TSG and MEDCOM and retired in 2003. Army Medicine is number one and will always be. Again, congratulations on your new position as the Army Surgeon General..and a new era has begun.
