While i was watching you check the feed silos...a question came to mind. What is the feed consumption like for your 30,000 birds?
@burgessfarms6992 Жыл бұрын
With all 3 houses at the end of the flock it ranges between 1.1 and 1.3 million pounds of feed in about 62 days the chickens will go through
@charlesrichardsoniii7512 Жыл бұрын
@@burgessfarms6992 sorry i assumed it was 30k per house. What is your stocking density per house.

Those KMC's are hard to beat. I use a 4200LP. I'm curious why you cake before you windrow? If I don't leave cake in my windrows they don't heat up
@burgessfarms69922 жыл бұрын
The only reason I windrow is to pull the middles out so we can go to the field with the litter. I only windrow 2 times a year so right before we start planting corn I’ll pull all the middles out of the houses and then take the windrower and kick the side walls into the middles and then box blade everything back out.
@memorios33812 жыл бұрын
How long do you take for each house to complete the level they look like big 600ft houses
@memorios33812 жыл бұрын
I just rake the corners and use the windrow machine to take big cake in corners the use the tiller or the blade to push the litter back an level with the blade but I done it different ways in different farms
