My second westie Sonny is never this bad, but I am in need of making my costs per month less on my own. I’m trying my best to take care of his ski. Fur is the number one issue for his skin…Hot spots from dirt accumulation.. So now I need to invest in clippers scissors and nail trimmers, along the fact that I brush him daily. Just to maintain his health. He gets coconut oil for his skin and coat also. But this is very much needed for him too.

Question. How do you get your Shih Tzu to be so calm through the process? Mine squirms like crazy the moment the machine turns on or the scissor comes anywhere near her

@Muhammad Ali44444 I have been grooming shih tzu since puppyhood. The puppy gets used to the sounds and the process. During grooming, I give doggy treats and very gently, slowly work the tool if the dog is nervous.

This was a fun video too watch!! You have a barber's precision and he seemed calm the whole time, great job!!🐶How long do these grooming sessions usually take? Are the sound of clippers and scissors calming too dogs?

@l-jay9286 Usually , grooming for a Shih Tzu lasts 2.5 hours. Sometimes 3 hours. It depends on the condition of the coat and the dog's behavior. Sounds of scissors are calming. But it's not for all pets.

I really worry that the extremely adorable shih tzu appears to be very thirsty. I always offer a little water for my pet to make sure she is perfectly comfortable as even with a fan running it get hot for the little doggie. Otherwise a very beautiful cut - looks gorgeous

My pommy named loki was obsessed with scooby doo. he'd come running in from anywhere in the house and sit on the couch with me and mom to watch. He sadly passed due to health problems that were unavoidable but he is still with us because me and mom heard one of his toys squeak by itsself and i feel somthing watching me when i watch scooby doo.

I groomed my 4 month puppy for the first time because he started looking like a giant fur ball (cocker spaniel/weiner mix) and he did great. I gave him tons of affection and breaks after about 10-15 min
