As a long-time fan of this album I can’t believe I’m only just seeing this! Absolutely incredible! Sol Niger Within is easily one of the greatest and most unique things to happen in extreme music in a long time, and to see it live… goddamn I wish I could have witnessed that. This live recording and the album itself captures a feeling you barely see in metal these days: improvisation and raw chemistry. Everything feels so polished and quantised in modern metal, and a lot of modern music in general… but this is on a fucking cosmic level of sublime chaos. Love it, and everything it encapsulates!
