Thanks! This was shot on my GoPro Hero 13 with a max lens in the ultra super view. Settings are 4k 30fps 5k white balance and the exposure I change around depending on the light. It's mounted to my chin bar with a Ritchy mounts mount.

Love these videos! Any reason you didn’t try a coil on that bike? Also, it looks like the mavens are missing. Any issues?
@shaneridesmtb17 күн бұрын
you got a sharp eye! I took the Mavens off, nothing wrong with them, they're too different than the rest of my bikes. Basically it was cheaper to buy 1 set of xt's to match my other bikes than it was to buy 2 set of Maven's for the other bikes. I've tried coils on here. Even had Avalanche racing build me a nice coil shock and even though we discussed it, he sent it with too light of a spring. It just won't hold the back end up and when you have a bike as slack as this spire, it just makes it choppered out. After riding the shock with different valving on the frameworks bike I'm just going to do that from now on. Thanks so much for watching!

@@shaneridesmtb Hey Shane...I'm doing pretty good. I just finished a lot of work related travel and am trying to get back into shape. I've been riding Bull / Jake Mountain the last couple of weeks. I did the 30K loop a couple weeks ago and did an 11 mile bull mountain loop on Sunday. It is a gut wrenching ride on my enduro bike but I needed a long mental and physical cleanse. I'm ready for some Jarrod action and if it dries out a little bit...I'll head over on Sunday but it's looking really nasty right now. I'm messing with my suspension and brakes on my HD5. I'm thinking of getting a better park bike. We will see. Glad to see you are out there riding high and having fun.

Give props to Josh for killing the 100miles. Give yourself props for getting through the 50miles. I look forward to the next time I can get out with you!!

Thank you Dave! This was a chore to edit, but I tried to keep it interesting. I find that is a hard thing to do when editing xc footage, no one wants to watch or listen to some old fat dude huffing on his bike hahaha I ride my Amish bikes more than my E-bike. I just don't want to be the old man that only rides E-bikes. Not yet anyways. Josh, man what can I say? He's something else. I'll tell him for sure. I'll holler soon, I've got an idea I'm working on for early next year.

Great video and explaining the cruxes of riding blocks like that. I dont really have anyone to ride with that rides small jumps so I'm having to learn on my own. I ride with my wife at most places but she is limited by a mind block even more then me and anything beyond a wide green trail scares her horribly. I do what I can to learn but I'm so scared of the speed that is needed to clear small jumps and drops it just makes me loose confidence. Its frustrating to say the least. I'm seeing improvement but its very very slow. Watching you, AppalachainMTB, and a few others helps though. I just wish there were more side shots of the jumps, even at Bakers Creek. Seeing how someone tackles a jump and how their body is positioned helps but its hard to come by that kind of video without them just saying stand up or point your toes. Those get annoying.

I'm the same way, but I'm 5'1 and 200lbs. I've been fighting with my fork for weeks now. I think I have it set right now, but I dont know. Every dang ride feels different to me. Now I'm mentally going back to adding a token and dropping pressure and zeroing my SSC and leaving compression wide open. At least then I'm back to default. Everyone telling me to set sag and work from there. I've done that so many times I'm going crazy. lol
@shaneridesmtbАй бұрын
Ok, I can help you with this. First forget what nobodies say on the internet. Run more pressure, less tokens and absolutely dial in SOME compression. Everyone thinks compression makes it stiffer. It doesn't. It SLOWS down the compression stroke. Err on the side of more air, less tokens, some compression and faster rebound that most manufactures recommend for that pressure. It's too much to talk thru on here, but that is the basics of what get me into a good spot. Good luck with it!
