I do not understand how is is so underrated. I AM IN TEARS!!!!!!!!! I was devastated with the loss of season 3 and the spin off but this captures so much of Nina's story and the parralels are shown so well. I cannot stop watching this.

I will defend Walburga for as long as I have to. Why can’t people realise that she was just as abused, actually even more so, as Sirius. She was a first born daughter in the 1920’s to two parents who had to produce an heir, her mother was a foreigner to the Black Family, her father an absent man. That little girl would have been abused until her brothers came along several years later. Does no one ever consider the fact that Walburga was put in an arranged marriage and that the entire fate of The House of Black’s survival rested entirely on her shoulders because Cygnus had only produced girls and Alphard had been wiped off the family tree. Has no one checked the dates to realise that Walburga took ten years to get pregnant with Sirius and had several many miscarriages and still births before that. Does nobody realise that this woman would’ve likely been abused by her husband for not giving him a son for those ten years. Can no one understand that canonically there is no proof that she ever laid a hand on Sirius or Regulus. This woman was being suffocated by the ideologies forced onto her, she didn’t know any better, she didn’t know love or kindness. And then in the same year her husband and her youngest boy die, most of her family is dead, Sirius gets locked and she dies in her 50’s most likely because of heartbreak and loneliness.
