I use TetherTools cables exclusively, because I use a PhaseOne IQ3-100 digital back, that uses either a FireWire 800 or USB Type B 3.0 connection. I use the USB Type B to C cable, with a USB Type C powered extension for the 20-feet plus of cable. I only use CaptureOne - the best for tethering.

The mind blowing thing about this is it also work on zoom lenses. I'm using a 35-150mm F2-2.8 and the camera works its magic. I shoot at 150mm, the camera sets shutter speed to 1/320s(Auto ISO: Fast) at F2.8. I shoot at 35mm, the camera sets the shutter speed to 1/80s and since it's on Aperture Priority, it bumps the aperture to F2.0 automatically. Less time fidling/thinking about the settings and more time actually shooting. Edit: Grammar

Does this program not have an edit history panel? In Lightroom, after 10 years, I can return to the catalog, see and roll back to any edit! But I didn’t find anything like this even for the current editing session, let alone the previous ones. The UNDO button is also implemented in an extremely strange way
@PhotoKitchen425
@PhotoKitchen425 18 күн бұрын
You are right about no history panel. Not going to argue for Capture One on this, but I will say their take would probably be that each panel in the program can be undone, or turned off to see what that control did. This might also mean a much smaller amount of data used. While I teach LRC, and show off the features to students, I have never really used it in LRC, since I just go to the panels and turn on/off certain adjustments. Good or bad, the History panel is linear, so that is something to keep in mind, for better or worse.
@afferist
@afferist 18 күн бұрын
@@PhotoKitchen425 I do not want to argue which program is better. But, in LR it is more convenient to see the action of each panel and settings separately. Well, the story of changes is more visually visually visible. It is also much easier to understand what I have already done and change until the moment when something went wrong :)

Not sure about NX tether needing to be part of the equation. Have you updated LRC? I know there were issues with Nikons and Sonys in older versions. Also make sure your USB Priority is set to "Shooting", and Autoplay is set to "Take No Action".

Do this apply to APS-C cameras? I read that a 35mm will actually be like a 50mm. I own a Nikon D5600 and I'm about to buy a new lens (now I have my 18-55 kit lens) and I can't decide between 35 and 55mm 1.8 nikkor.. I do mostly street, I took sport (I go to the skatepark often so 1.8 i'll be good to increase shutter speed)... I don't have a defined stile of photography yet, I'd like to shoot some product photography too because I'm a eCommerce manager and that's something I can offer some day (when I get better and gain more experience).

if you put the leg alligned with the boom the weight must be put in another leg expecially if your light is inclined. in that position if you put with a finger the light all the simystem twist and fall on the ground. the best solution is to leave the leg alligned with the boom but in the opposite side. so make sense tu put the counterweight the same leg to balance. in this way the simystem can’t twist because the othee two legs are facing the side with the light. and you have more space to walk under the boom with no legs to hurt with your feet. in symole words, the position of the legs and of the counterwight depnds on the type of modifier and the direction and position of the strone, but in your scenario your choice is not adeguate :)
