This is my favourite pocahaunted track. I downloaded it from a drone/ambient blog in late 2007 and it was on all the compilation cds i made for people I wanted to befriend throughout 2008 and 2009. Thanks so much for uploading it, i thought i'd lost it forever.
@powerlinemisfortune2 ай бұрын
No problem! I'm glad you found it again. I think I may have downloaded it from the same blog around that time, but I can't recall the name, since there were many of them with interesting tape/vinyl/cdr rips, even some of them had interviews with the artists. Sadly, I can't track them anymore. Stolen Lynx is the one that I remember the most, but that was created in 2010 and ceased activities in '17.

@@powerlinemisfortune I'm in a similar position where i can't really remember the names of many of them. Hammer Smashed Jazz was one and there was another that was more of a full library type website called Lost in Thyme that had almost uncountable obscurities uploaded, at least half of which sounded like they'd been recorded in dorset scrumpy barns. It truly was a delictable time.

@powerlinemisfortune Жыл бұрын
Indeed and I'm still discovering lots of great tapes released in those years.
@branchaver Жыл бұрын
A lot of very psychedelic influenced ambient at the time. I'm thinking labels like Sacred Phrases, Hooker Vision, Tranquility Tapes, etc which had a heavy focus on psychedelic drone but also more mainstream artists like Emeralds and Even Oneohtrix Point Never at the time had a similar sound. Now there are other trends in ambient music, some of which I like just as much (some of the stuff being put out by labels like Janushoved or Korea Undok Group for example) but I like to revisit this period often, especially in the summer.
