Idk if we’re allowed to crit or not and i don’t mean anything in a mean way or something, but when going in a more painterly style it’s ALWAYS. ALWAYS Important to remember soft and hard edges. U used a round very blendy brush for most of the peice, hard to get hard edges with that. Also the sketch is very busy. When painting it’s better to have no sketch or ver little of a sketch. Painting is all about getting that confident Look in ur art just keep going (I’ve never painted Uhm so pls don’t listen too much to me. 🔥❤️) 💯🗣️🔥

I have a question 🙋🏾♀️ how do you know what colors to use for shadows and highlights? 🤔

@courtneyisland6895 From what I learned, lighting is situational. But a good rule of thumb is shadows will be more cool colors like green, blue, and purple. Highlights are dependent on the light source. In this case, I kept everything cooler, so even the highlights are a purple color. I hope that's not like crazy confusing.

even if these methods work super well, i still don’t think it would ever be worth it. being scared to even go outside normally, having a super strict diet, and have stress of doing something wrong is not healthy. i want to live life without extra worry of how ill look in 50 years. aging is just apart of life and that’s ok
