Yea that looks like an awesome way to do it the only way I can see that might pose an issue is the rubber band breaks so maybe just take a whole bag then u can break as many as u want and also use one to store the others and also if u need a hair tie maybe u just want to make a rubber band gun and don't forget that bundle of pencils u always have wouldn't be a bundle if not for that rubber band

Pro tip. You can also use a 36” zip tie. They’re easier to wedge back open and reuse. With that said I’m going to look for ways to store my straps without the need for 36” zip ties 😂

Another useless video. 🙄When you are staring at two different pieces one has a free cable and a hook. The other has the ratchet clamp with a 6 inch cable and a hook, which is already sewn onto the ratchet mechanism, (not free roaming) and when you lay out the ratchet open-faced on your table, which way does the other tip of the strap, on your right, go into the slot? Which way is the slot supposed to be facing… left, right, or up towards the sky? There was not enough information or explanation of all the parts and what they are called, and how to put the two different pieces together🤦🏻‍♀️ when you know something really well, you can explain it fully so that a sixth grader can understand it. Please keep in mind when making videos… simple is not dumb enough. It was not explained for somebody with a traumatic brain injury. I guess I’ll just flag down a random truck driver at the next truckstop or some construction worker just to help me figure out the ratchet threading.🙄

Wrong as usual! The tail of the strap should be hanging out under the handle going the opposite direction as the hook end. Your way fills the spool faster and allows for less take up.

This is why straps are list as working load limit as well as breaking limit. Your strapst should not be loaded to the max anyway.

Not sure why a lot of people open the ratchet to feed the strap through the mandrel and then feed it back through the handle to come out the same place they started, whereas if you keep the ratchet closed and feed the strap through the mandrel in one swoop... One action vs. two when you doing a lot of strapping is a lot more efficient :- ). In the big scheme of things, not a super big deal I guess, just one of those things eh :- /

The problem is that rubber bands get old and break. So, you have several ratchet straps loose and bouncing around in your car or truck.
