I enjoy this video. I have a Facebook page dedicated to the Rider. I was thinking on putting a timeline for the different models together. Can you tell me what the first model was? I assume it's the one that's in the video at about 33 seconds. Thank you.

This design has the advantage of cutting the grass before the wheels (or horse) flatten it. Also, tilting the deck for winter storage stops the damp from rotting the underside. I appreciate the clever design more each time I use it.
@Iceeeen5 ай бұрын
It is without a question the best design for a mower since you are not driving over the grass before cutting it. It also makes it a breeze to cut around bushes. But used market is what speaks for it self. A mid 90s Husqvarna rider in good condition still sells for 1k while a tractor that's more than 10 years you usually have to give away.

Excited for this. Is the max cutting depth the same as the k770?
@brainycheddar Жыл бұрын
Accepts the same blades, so presumably. My concern is battery life at that depth, and available torque, listen to how long it takes to spin up.
@FinglishGardener Жыл бұрын
12" is 121mm(~4¾") and 14" is 145mm (~5¾"). The overwork warning light should prevent tourque issues. Essentially electric has more consistent torque anyway. I believe the slow acceleration is digitaly controlled for saftey and belt life.
@Its_Real-322 жыл бұрын
how do you adjust the blade housing?
@L119hamel Жыл бұрын
Good question, I have played with it, read manual (bugger all explaining what to do) and worked it out. On the power head where the two bolts are (opposite side to the blade, same side as drive belt), loosen the torx bolt, adjust blade guard and retighten torx bolt. It is not clearly explained in manual on how to do this at all! K970 is same adjustment point.

@L119hamel I figured it out, and I went through the same thing.

Can you add two smaller blades to unit?
@redbandukltd2 жыл бұрын
You can't really get blades smaller than 300mm suitable for this machine, but with a 14" (350mm) K770 cutter you can use either a 300mm or 350mm blade.
@L119hamel Жыл бұрын
@@redbandukltd isn't that the K 970 powersaw for 350mm blade?
@redbandukltd Жыл бұрын
@@L119hamelThis model in the video is the K770 14"/350mm version, the K770 is also available as a 12"/300mm unit. The K970 is available with either a 14"/350mm or 16"/400mm guard. Hope this clarifies.
