Now watching this, I remember riding Flying Cobras at Carowinds only once. Has anyone else ridden it? If so, how is it?

I rode it after visiting family as in Japan this past summer and yeah it is definitely improved over X2. HOWEVER, it isn’t soo much better than x2 people have hyped it up to be. The music in the que is something else, you’ll be low key brainwashed it’s so repetitive.
@808CoasterLife16 күн бұрын
I agree Eejanaika isn’t a super monumental leap forward compared to X2. Although to me, the improvements in pacing are quite noticeable!

Very late to the video, but.. I’d say I have mixed opinions about vest restraints. As a coaster enthusiast, I very much prefer lap bar restraints, especially the ones on Helix at Liseberg. I rode a dive coaster which used vest restraints, and it was very comfortable throughout the ride, even though I didn’t get any airtime it was still an awesome coaster, but they aren’t my favorite restraints. They at least make me feel the safest, but yeah. Also, if they put it down too tight it becomes hard to even breathe or move in the slightest, and it almost hurts, that’s probably what I REALLY dislike about them, but they’re still fine, imo.
@bananogamer69722 ай бұрын
In the park near me there is the first bnm wing coaster with the vest restraints and it's not very comfortable, while you are riding it gets tighter and at the end while you are waiting to unload, you really can't inhale a lot

Falcon’s Fury would give me the laughs when it tilted. You’re definitely not sitting in your seat during that 10-20 seconds. The face down drop is exceptional, it feels like you’re flying. I miss my old home park, Busch Gardens :(.

I found your enthusiast story interesting and I’ve had a similar experience I lived in Hawaii (The Big Island) for 11 years. And I’ve only recently moved to the mainland (Idaho). The first theme park I went to was Disneyland in 2015 and 2017, (I was 10 or 9) where I conquered my fear and rode the then California Screaming. That turned me into an enthusiast and I did a lot of research into coasters, I then attended the local fair in 2018 and 2019 and rode the zipper. I also recognize a lot of the same rides so I wouldn’t be surprised if Maui and the Big Island shared the same fair company. In 2022, I moved to Idaho in the Pacific Northwest but unfortunately the closest park is 4 and a half hours away (Lagoon). I went to Lagoon once and rode Cannibal and the rest of the lineup, I also was able to go to Six Flags over Texas for the solar eclipse in 2023. I hope to someday work at Cedar Point for a season, and I have a total of 20 credits. My Number one is probably The New Texas giant because that is the only RMC I’ve ridden. I like rollercoasters mostly because of airtime and I like the floaty sensation. I am 17 for reference. Sorry for the long comment lol.
@808CoasterLife3 ай бұрын
Wow your story is definitely similar to mine! I’m very sure our fairs were under the same fair company. I’m also in the mainland attending college and the nearest park to me is 1.5 hours away (Elitches). I hope you get to work at Cedar Point one day!

Families spend more per capita at theme parks. Drawing more Families means more revenue for future capital expenditure. So when the time comes for a big intense thrill coaster. There will be money to go all out and make it truly great.
@808CoasterLife3 ай бұрын
Agreed. At this time, parks investing in family coasters are kinda future proofing themselves

This was the first roller coaster I rode, back in the mid 1980s at Magic Springs in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It was painted white with a black train. If you were lucky to be there on a slow day, the ride operator would let you stay on as long as you wanted. It did break down often in those days. There is a wooden roller coaster called The Arkansas Twister in it's place now, which came from a defunct amusement park in Florida. 👍🏻

Can someone please explain to me how I won't fall out of a Giga's first drop without consciously pushing my things/lower body into the lap restraint? I've only been on one about 5 times, but each time I felt like if I didn't actively try to prevent it, I'd fly out. I know people pass out on 'coasters and they don't fly out. Should I just let go of this fear and try to get as much air time as possible, knowing that I am secure (somehow)? BTW, I am about average to slightly above in weight. Nothing crazy.
@808CoasterLife4 ай бұрын
As long as you fit the height requirement, the lap bar is designed to comfortably keep you in the seat. I don’t know exactly how the science works but you shouldn’t be able to fall out, assuming you pulled the restraint all the way down on you.

I only rode the Coasters that are not Steep. One of them is a Junior Coaster with Lap Bars. & the other One was a Family Inverted Coaster with Lap Bars, but tbh, at that Family inverted Coaster the restraints had Seat Belts which made me feel Safer.🎢👨👩👦🙃⏩⏩⏬

@@808CoasterLife I've been on two now, and then also Kingda Ka. I305 is my #2 coaster and Orion is great too, but more like a grander B&M hyper with some more modern elements than most of the B&M hypers. I305 kind of makes Orion look family friendly, which it is to an extent. Kingda Ka is absolutely insane, and kind of underrated. It's my favorite in that park and my #3 overall. I hope you can get on a giga soon. You've ridden Eejanaika though, which is much rarer for US enthusiasts.
