ALIEN 3 was the best

I am not sure how many times I have listened to this and possibly posted on here, but I have listened to this many many many many many many times over the past 10 years. Thank you for keeping the channel alive!

That build up at @10:15 and those brass BLASTS at @11:09 and @11:48 which marks the start of one of the BEST finales to a score. Love how dark, and chocolatey, and thick and rick this score is! @12:47 ugh....@13:21 pure orgasmic bliss and @13:35 those brass blasts continue. And what remains is beautiful, cathartic, melancholy.

Older _Star Wars_ fans: "The Imperial March is the best villain theme ever written." John Williams (about to conduct The Duel of the Fates): "Hold my light saber."

Ive always noticed how the version in the movies differs a bit from the released ost, especially in the bit where Frodo and Sam have their dialogue. It turns much darker than the official version, the change is much more noticeable.

The extended final chapter of this movies is like a sustained : opera for film and orchestra- it makes me cry, and lifts my soul, and freaks me out, all simultaneously. I carry this music with me always.

I taught the sound design (first five minutes) of this movie (at SMU, 25 years ago) - showing how this amazing score worked, etc. My kids were stunned. Thank you, Mr. Shore

This should be used in a closing montage for the series finale of The Rings of Power. We see the harfoots settling in the shire, Elrond settling in Rivendell, Galadriel settling in Lothlorien, Isidulr in Gondor, etc etc… …And then tons of Tolkien purists punch me for getting the canon chronology wrong 😂

It was devastating to watch that precious little boy just try to win back his mother's love. The music made me weep for him. When Reunion starts and David is back with his mother, I just have the lyrics "Forever, For Always" running through my head. Reunion and Where Dreams Are Born may be my two most favorite composition by John Williams, although I love so many.

came back after watching alien: romulus. could have sworn I heard bits of the alien 3 theme in the music.

This score contains Some incredibly emotive and beautiful music. So underrated

LSO was by far the top Orchestra anywhere at the time. Recorded mostly in 1975. The orch members all loved doing these recordings, which comes through in the sound. The brass, especially, had a blast working with Williams. A true genius fir the ages.
