Great vid...what was your flash settings? How did you get it to fire so fast?

Just FYI, with the Breakthrough Filters DFM, there's enough clearance to swap filters with the lens on.

This is the absolute clearest exposition of macro photography principles. Thanks for this video. Having tried various ways of adding light to macro scenes inc. ring flash led lighting etc.) I generally use a single diffuser covering my flash and this produces generally very good results. There seem so many alternatives that people use though, but now I am very interested in the one you are using here, giving two moveable light sources with diffusers and then the small light to help with focus, which I can see is going to be extremely useful, as when I use a small aperture especially it is hard to have enough light to see clearly. I am thinking of getting one of these flashes, but wanted to know whether you have found any disadvantages/snags using this, or if you had any further thoughts on the matter. Thank you very much in advance.

"If you haven't got a flash, you're not going to be able to do handheld photography very well out in the field" Well, I'm going to call bs on that

Will they fit in the case with the RF Bayonet? I bought the Venus Optics Laowa Ranger S35 T2.9 Cine Zoom Lens 3-Lens Bundle (ARRI PL) and they came with a hard case.

what about with the nanomorphs? from ef to pl . Should we keep same shims? This is so confusing!
@seanfrancis710120 күн бұрын
Hello, this problem I'm having on my EF to PL is not being addressed by the company, ive called all around LA, and it's very expensive to change mounts. I ruined my focus and have vertical flares. I am really not shooting on these anymore until someone can just tell me how may shims should I use and how do I secure the mount properly. Can someone make a video showing EF to PL?
@seanfrancis107120 күн бұрын
Where's the PL instruction? Someone please help with this Ef to PL conversion. I already lost a lens, and I am really beginning to not like Laowa
@seanfrancis107120 күн бұрын
Hello, I seemingly ruined my 50mm, when attempting to convert from ef to pl, and sent it back. My new 27mm shipped as EF, and I'm worried it will happen again. On the 50mm It seems there isn't anywhere to screw these tiny screws into and my flares wound up vertical? I barely use Nanomorphs anymore because my 50 was so blurry. I have a PL zoom as well. But my question is this: How many shims do I use on the PL mount? Should I have a professional do this? and how did this make me have vertical flares?

Some cool tips here! I've been searching high and low for a fully sealed environmental case for my zv-e10. Something that could withstand a zero visibility dust storm. I've found vacuum sealed scuba cages and rigs, but are there ones that aren't exactly scuba gear, but extreme desert environmental gear?

Your images are truly amazing. I understand that you are conveying the context in which the creatures are photographed. Of course, this increases appreciation of both the subject and its' environment.

Are you planning on expanding the Full Frame series with wider lenses?
@DaCarnival28 күн бұрын
I imagine 28mm is as wide is they can get at T1, before creating something monstrous (in both size and cost). Otherwise they would definitely have gone for at least a 24mm.

The bokeh is incredibly busy and distracting.
@nahlene197328 күн бұрын
as someone who likes to 'anamorfake' spherical lenses, the busy bokeh is big plus (they adds up the 'waterfall' effect in bokeh once u modify the lens) LOL. haha ppl like me are probably a niche but anyway it exciting to see laowa argus series got cine version.
@frederickletterblair23 күн бұрын
Not really, I find the so-called smooth, buttery bokeh rather dull and boring.

A longer focal lenght both changes the angle of view AND increases magnification (i.e. zooms in).
