The golden oldies 50 60 70. Such singing talents will never come again. The best singers in the world are the black people. They have the best voices. We love them in Germany.

Unfortunately not the original song sung by Erma Franklin. We German students listened to her sister Aretha in high school and sang along. The RADIO STATION AFN American force Network.

I appreciate the fact that she did her best. I am sure Janis Joplin is happy that she covered her song. It just doesn't have the passion, power, or soul that Janis Joplin put into her music. Nice try.

Very talented and quite impressive, I personally prefer the original tempo. This definitely changes the tone of the song to more somber than empowering to me. Still GREAT VOICE.

It’s a cover of a Butch Hornsby song. More of his songs and his story can be found in the novel “Dirtobber Blues” on Amazon or iTunes. He wrote great, moving and poetic songs.
