Absolutely, with the Yamaha Helm Master Joystick controls, it maneuvers like dream. Having the Joystick system on the second station, along with the optional side access door, pulling up to a dock and tying off is a piece of cake.

The performance of a boat in rough seas can be subjective in the sense that different people may have different levels of tolerance for rough seas, so what one person considers to be a comfortable ride may be completely unacceptable to another. The Defiance 290 Guadalupe is a very popular West Coast offshore fishing platform, especially among professional charters. It is designed to handle a wide range of sea conditions, including rough seas, comfortably and safely. When you are traveling 30 or 40 miles offshore chasing tuna you would be hard pressed to find a more popular boat. Where are you located if you don’t mind me asking?

The vast majority of our builds have custom elements, so making minor modifications is a normal part of our process. During our performance tests, with 3 people on board, and a full tank of fuel in calm seas, we are knocking on 50mph (48.6) WOT and 12mph cruising, but keep in mind, a lot of variables can effect those numbers.

Hi Ryver, actually you couldn’t be more correct. I have only been with the company about a year, and in that time I have learned a lot and have seen a few different configurations. Our owner is a sport fishing fanatic, and personally puts his products to the test. In fact he and his friends just won, our states largest off shore Tuna Tournament, The 2022 Washington Tuna Classic, largest fish, total weight and number of fish caught, The Triple Crown! So with that said, he designs our craft to get you on the fish first, then we customize each boat for the customers recreational needs. Some people enjoy more creature comfort’s, others want 50 pole holders. 😅
